    Intermittent recordings

Well, I realized i had configured it to run as a service inside the BI Settings under 'Startup'. So I got it stopped and just moved the DB folder out of it's normal location. Then I rebooted and it looks like it's in the process of recreating the DB. I think I read somewhere that it may take...

    Intermittent recordings

Well, I hadn't been paying attention to the recordings in the night as of late and that's when I noticed these gaps of 6+ hours while maintenance is running. So I decided to try what you suggested but now I can't get BI to stop. I had the BI Tools installed and had the watchdog turned on but...

    Intermittent recordings

Thanks @fenderman. Before you replied, I did a 'Repair/Regenerate' and i'm hopeful that will be it. My DB had been 31GB and after regenerating it's at 9GB. I'll know at 2 AM tomorrow... Will report back.

    Intermittent recordings

I can't tell what time yours are stopping but I have recently noticed the same blocks of time where my 2 continuous recording cameras were not recording. I noticed they stop at 2 am which I now know is when my nightly maintenance runs. My recordings start again around 8 am which means my...

New setup Intel and Nvidia mix - BAD??

Thanks @SouthernYankee So is it accurate to say that QuickSync doesn't play a role in displaying the console to a monitor or to the UI3 web interface? Or at least in the case where a separate video card is used to display to a monitor? I guess I still don't have a crisp understanding of just...

New setup Intel and Nvidia mix - BAD??

Hello experts, I think i'm doing something stupid and hoping you can provide expertise. My new setup is a refurb HP ProDesk 600 G2-SFF, Core i7-6700 (sorry for the amazon link but best I could find in a pinch). I bought it because it was the perfect form factor and had the I7-6700 proc from...

remote trigger with pre-trigger video buffer

Thanks @wittaj. I knew I should have done that before posting. You nailed it. Raising the buffer to much higher just to confirm proved it was working. I backed it off to a better amount and it's performing great now. Cheers!

remote trigger with pre-trigger video buffer

I am remotely triggering a specific camera with a URL Trigger based on the AI Tool integration with DeepStack. This camera itself is not part of a group but I configured it to "Trigger camera group" of a group that has 2 cameras in it. Each of those cameras I have set a specific pre-trigger...

Continuous Recording Problem - Too many clips?

Most excellent historical perspective. Makes total sense regarding SSD wear. Many thanks

    Splitting Long Motion Videos

Pretty sure I understand what you're wanting. There's a couple of things going on with motion detection and triggering as it relates to a single video file and whether it 'combines' multiple motion detections and subsequent triggering of that cam to put it all in a single file or separate...

Continuous Recording Problem - Too many clips?

. Hi @SouthernYankee I'm extremely new to BI (as in 3 days)... I'm building up my setup atm (new machine with an I7 6700 proc, SSD plus separate NVR Drive, Fresh install of Win10...). I noticed your comment and had been trying to determine best practices but also recall seeing this note in...
