    Motorhome, RV cameras

Thanks guys, I've used cameras for years, I'm well aware of power etc, if I can't find anything wireless and battery I might end up with Poe. One cable and better all round. I'm just trying to find a camera that doesn't look like a brick and can detect a person rather than just movement. I use...

    Motorhome, RV cameras

I'm currently touring Europe, I have spoken to a few people who have been unfortunate enough to have their vehicles broken into. Long story short, anyone have any suggestions as to a slim, battery WiFi camera I could mount discretely. I'm happy to recess it into the side of the van if I have to...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

I'm in the UK and it looks like the only way I get one is by ordering from the US, did anyone find a UK supplier? Second question, I'll use this to replace a nest doorbell, is there any way to get it to work with Google home? I don't have an actual door bell, or sounder, I just use the nest to...

Carrier-Grade NAT problem: How to access my IP cameras? VPN?

I meant to ask, majones, you use three in the UK don't you? I'm on Vodafone but since mid January I have all sorts of connection issues. Initially I was told by Vodafone their network was fine so I thought it was my Rutx11 at fault, changed that to the 240 and the same problems of loosing...

Carrier-Grade NAT problem: How to access my IP cameras? VPN?

Thanks for the update, I set up zerotier on the pc I'm using rather than on the router. Seems to work fine and reconnects automatically after a reboot, both intentionally and simply pulling the plug out. Not the best option but I wanted to try an automatic reboot after a power failure.

    Main Stream not connecting

Thanks wittaj, It's a fairly new i7 machine with 32gb ram which I set up with the express purpose of 4k video editing. Strange it only affects the one camera! Anyway, I'll try the other options.

    Main Stream not connecting

Answered my own question. If I set the hardware decode to "intel" it will not display the main stream at 4K. I was trying some other decode options and the camera came back on. Not sure why, but just for info if anyone else has a similar issue.

    Main Stream not connecting

Okay, I've probably done something stupid but as a newbie to Blue Iris I need a bit of help. I'm playing around with my build and currently have 6 Unifi Protect cameras running at 1080 which are all fine. I had an Annke, clone of Hikvision running at 4k and another copy of this camera running...

    T568a &b help!!

568b is the most common but it really doesn't matter as both a and b are both straight through connection, i.e. the pins match both ends as long as they are both "A" or "B". It only gets more complex if you have an rj45 one end and the other is connected to a patch panel, then confusion can...

Carrier-Grade NAT problem: How to access my IP cameras? VPN?

I'll try that later, currently pulling cables for the new cameras just now. I wonder if that may help with my VOIP which I have to route to ring my mobile. I kept my old land line number as a voip number until I know friends and family have got used to not calling it anymore. As an FYI, how did...

    Outdoor 4g poe router?

I use teltonika, I don't think they have a poe version but I've installed them on various boats. The routers have a lot of useful features and I use a reboot at 3:00am as one boat is in a poor coverage area and I have never had an issue with it. Simply add a poe injector or switch as required...

RTSP feed in BlueIris on computer with Bitdefender

on bitdefender, open the interface and go to notifications. If Bitdefender is blocking an address it will show up as "suspicious connection blocked" open that up and there will be an add exception rule. Add it for that address. That will then allow access to unifi etc etc

Carrier-Grade NAT problem: How to access my IP cameras? VPN?

Thank you, it's a steep learning curve to find all the options to all things. That said I'm now at least convinced to keep the Annke and send the Reolink back.

I Found the stream, sorry to have asked a dumb question.

Carrier-Grade NAT problem: How to access my IP cameras? VPN?

For anyones interest, excuse the pun but the difference between the Annke and the Reolink after the IR cuts in is night and day, the Annke is so much better.

majones, what's the sub stream address for the Annke cameras?

Carrier-Grade NAT problem: How to access my IP cameras? VPN?

I have both "live" on Blue Iris but to be honest the Annke, is a wider angle and better dynamic range than the Reolink so its probably my favourite anyway. The cameras will be facing into the setting sun at this time of year. I haven't tried the motion detection etc yet so can't comment but...

Carrier-Grade NAT problem: How to access my IP cameras? VPN?

Thanks, I'll try the Hamachi over the weekend. The fact you mention ngrok maintains the connection until my machine is rebooted causes a concern. That would mean if I have a power cut I'd lose my external connection and if I'm travelling I can be away for 4 or 5 weeks at a time. I'll let you...

Carrier-Grade NAT problem: How to access my IP cameras? VPN?

I had a quick look at Hamachi, it looks ideal. I haven't downloaded the software, I was trying out a couple of 4k cameras. The Reolink and the Annke, both seem to have pluses and minuses but the fact I don't seem to be able to stream the Reolink in 4k to BI is the major issue, anyway I digress...

Carrier-Grade NAT problem: How to access my IP cameras? VPN?

Thanks, I'll have a look. I live in the countryside in North Scotland, Three isn't an option as I only get a few meg download speeds and even less upload. I'm using Vodafone and it gives circa 90 down and 20 up which seems so unlikely but I switched the whole house over about 9 months ago and...

Carrier-Grade NAT problem: How to access my IP cameras? VPN?

Hi majones, Sounds like I have the same issue. I'm in the UK as well and behind a CGNAT. I was using ubiquiti protect, which works behind CGNAT, but I was looking at getting BI and adding some additional cameras. I tried setting up openvpn on a remote AWS server, that worked but I was looking...

    Hi From the UK....

Hi All, I was looking at developing my camera system. I use Ubiquiti Protect, 6 cameras, but I'm plagued with false notifications when it rains, snows etc etc. I didn't fancy spending $400 plus a camera to upgrade to G4 cameras which do support AI detection so I thought about splitting the...
