After playing around with it some more this evening, I discovered that if I switch back to H264, it does unlock the option to bump up the resolution to 2688x1520. Now to figure out why it is locked to 720 in H265 mode.

Gave that a shot and I do notice that the bitrate is now higher in iVMS main view, but am still seeing this in the web interface. It seems the NVR is showing the bitrate as exactly half of what I have the camera set to for whatever reason.

No kidding. lol. This kit is about 6 years old. I am now starting to lean towards the Dahua 5442's after doing some more research. Debating on the NVR still though.

Thanks. I had heard that Amcrest was re-badged Dahua minus some features possibly, but was not sure if the price difference was worth it or not. I am possibly thinking about a mix of 4k and 2-3Mp cameras to balance out the daytime and night time images, but am actually more concerned about...
