These are with my older Z12E as LPRs. I would say they are comparable to 4MP.

Having a 4MP/2.8 Mini-PTZ, of the two choices, I would definitely go 2MP/2.8 over the 4MP/2.8, no question. However, I would try to justify the PTZ5A4M-25X at 4MP/1.8 in any way I could.

It's hard to see the second rainbow, but we had some storms roll through yesterday and I was able to capture a pretty nice rainbow last night. You can just see the second rainbow to the right and left.

The Z12E-S2 is an updated version of the original Z12E. Edited for -S2, I have been saying -S3, but that's the 5442 turret.

Unfortunately that's the problem with the 5442, once you use them you don't really want to use anything else. Due to the form factor, I installed a wedge next to the door for ID, I would much rather have a 5442 there and may eventually end up switching it out when I have nothing else to do, but...

It's not a fair comparison as I am still working on the settings for the Z12E, but it does show that the 2MP is still capable of good detail at that distance. My thoughts were right zoom for the job and night time performance. The Z4E is maxed out, but I can see what I want to see, so it works...

Deactivate the trigger on all but one, don't try troubleshooting this issue on more than one at a time.

How much time are you waiting between each instance of clicking "Trigger Now"? If you have too many cameras calling the PTZ to a preset, it could be an issue if one call-to needs to time out before it will accept a call-to from another camera. Have you made sure the presets have been imported...

Did you edit the permissions for the users? I don't know if this affects Find/Inspect but you need to give users PTZ control.

I am guessing it isn't pulling in the correct information, then. Try what I mentioned above with defaulting the camera, and give it another go. @wittaj sometimes has luck with resetting the ONVIF user in the camera UI, but I have never had luck with that.

What happens when you run Find/Inspect? Does it find the correct camera? You may need to change the setting in the PTZ drop down on the PTZ tab.

Did you change Mode to Manual? If it says Auto you will have no control over shutter/exposure.

Which GUI do you have? Grey or Blue/White?

Tracking is caused by an IVS trigger being tripped. The IVS rules only exist while the camera is parked at a preset that has them. Here is a thread with a video and information on how my PTZ tracks after being called to a preset by the spotter...

I found even with it off that when I would take snapshots from the UI3 interface that it would apply it. I just delete it now when setting up a new camera.

I don't know what you have for a flag pole, but the top of the 20' flag pole in my front yard will easily move 3" in the wind and would be a horrible idea for mounting a camera. One camera cannot do it all. You cannot see everything and still see details. Getting good details does not allow...

I can grab them later. I don't have any with snow + sun. For some of my other cams I do run them at .18-.2 or so on the low end to keep them from darkening too much when there is a lot of snow.
