To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

I'm using a UDM Pro which has the key built in. I created a SSID just for the IP cams but they connect two both AP's instead of the one. I'm not sure what would be better.

To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

I ended up getting UniFi back it is pretty cool! How do i dedicate one AP for the cameras to use and nothing else? I'll try one and see if it can handle it. I have two AP's at the moment. When i setup a SSID for only 2.4Ghz devices it ends up using two AP's.

Is it okay to run it this way?

I seen another post where the guy installed a dry box outside with a POE switch inside it so he would only have one wire coming back into the house instead of one for each camera, Would this really work? Seems like if you had to many cameras the one wire may get saturated.

To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

No they are 2.4 Ghz only. I should have tryed the power line adapters not sure how good they would have been.

To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

I went to best buy and bought two netgear ac1000 routers along with a cheap switch. I then ran a cat6 cable from one end of the house to the other far end then I plugged new cat6 cable into switch i just bought then plugged both AC1000 into it that are set to AP mode. So i set up a wireless...

Is that a lot of data? I'm sure eventually you could max out your 1GIG switch.

To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

BTW what is the static in BI that says for totals 640MP That is the way i had it when i used UniFi but they would all connect to the same AP since it was the nearest one.

To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

If i use more than one SSID on the same router it would still over load the router right? So i would need to use two AP''s and split the traffic between the two? Sorry i'm not the best at networking and understanding it. :( BTW in the BI stats page at the very bottom it says Totals 5701.68...

To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

Worse yet i have no attic it's like a trailer roof....flat. Back on topic why coundn't a udm-pro and two AC-Pros handle 5 ip cams when it's rated for 250 devices? My house is only 2,000 square feet.

To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

Looking back i wish i would have kept the UDM-Pro but it cost a lot more than a simple r7000 Even UniFi could not do 5 wireless IP cams when they claim there AP's can do 250 clients. My house is built on a concrete slab with no attic or crawl space which makes it hard to hardwire them without...

To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

Funny you should say UniFi . Originally i went out and bought a UDM Pro with two AC-Pro's and i had the same issues with 5 wireless IP cams. I had bought it since they claim to handle a huge amount of clients as i have 50 and growing. It worked fine but did not fix my issue so i did not keep...

To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

How would you overcome this issue besides using hardwired? I have tired a mesh system and since my house is not very large all the cameras would still connect to only one of the mesh points causing the same issue. You would not think that only 5 cams would be to much but what do i know. :)

To many 2.4GHz wireless cameras or to much traffic for router?

I have five hikvision cube cameras model DS-2CD2432F-IW and i'm using a netgear r7000 router. If i use all 5 the video signal drops in and out but if i use only 4 it seems to work fine until i use another device that uses the 2.4GHZ band like a old tablet. They are steaming to blue iris. Would...
