    Pre trigger record time - Won't change

    Same problem here. I can't disable pre-trigger record time, and I'm not using dual-streaming, so it shouldn't be enforcing the new policy. I have so many cameras now, that because they're all constantly recording for the pre-trigger, my whole system slowed to a crawl.

    Dahua or Amcrest?

    None of the cameras have access to the internet. I said they TRY to dial back to China. That alone erodes my confidence in them. I purchased them from EmpireAndy. There are several threads that complain about the v16+ firmware and the issues with them trying to connect back to China.

    Two out of five reset regularly. I downgraded to v15 today though which seemed to solve the substream persistence issue. Now I don't really care if they reset since I won't have to reconfigure them each time.

    Dahua or Amcrest?

    I have both. My Amcrest doesn't constantly try dialing back to two separate domains in China. My Dahuas do. No more Dahuas for that reason alone.

    I need these too. 16 reboots my cameras and reverts the sub steam back to default settings at least once a day. That and I it keeps trying to dial back to China. Has anyone successfully put the Amcrest firmware on the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE?

    The Amcrest site is insufferable. You can't prevent that chat popup from bugging you constantly.

    Dahua - Unifi USG VLAN

    Do you have a Raspberry Pi? You could install Pihole and blacklist the domains you see it reaching out to. That's what I'm doing until I figure out this VLAN stuff.

    How To Upgrade Amcrest / Lorex to Dahua Firmware And Get All Dahua Features

    It's interesting that so many people are using the Dahua firmware on the Armcrest. I'm trying to put Armcrest firmware on my Dahuas since I can't stop them from trying to report back to Chinese domains. Hopefully the Armcrest firmware won't do the same thing.
