Hi all I'm looking at buying a few IP cams and there is choice between H.264 and H.265 models. When going for H.265, shouldn't the NVR also work with this standard? The reason I ask this is because they only seem to have NVR's that decode H.264. TIA!

GaryDZ, I needed the same so I'm using Raspberry Pi's with omxplayer to restream the feed coming from the NVR. With omxlpayer, it's possible to display multiple cam's on 1 screen. HTH edit: optionally check this thread for additional info

So finally got it working and you were right, I did find the right channel number for this cam... I did try different numbers in the past but I was also searching for the right syntax so probably I tried that number with the wrong syntax and didn't remember what I had used since it's on...
