    Does "restore" reset all parameters except IP, and user information default settings, disconnect cameras that are currently installed? Does it delete old recordings, and/or system logs - i.e give you a clean system - but still connected to your network and have the same users/passwords as before?

    How do you connect direct to camera? Internet to NVR ?

    I have a Hikvision NVR, connecte to the internet (that I can access from the WAN). The cameras are plugged into the NVR. How can I access the cameras directly (without having to plug in a laptop into the NVR ports). Can I set the NVR to pass access to a camera (port forwarding)?

    XML password reset

    Anyone know what information I need to send to Hikvision to get the XML reset file? Is it just the xml file, or do I need to include any further information in order to get them to respond? Anyone done this successfully as an end user?

    Will HikVision send a sadp unlock file to the end user,or does it have to be the original installer?
