I saw turret version at Dahua demo show and it was plastic one comparing to higher lines.. interesting is that they added back smart illumination without IR to firmware.. -

no, basic sensor technology is similar.. main difference is ISP - image signal processor - which reconstruct color image based on RAW data from the sensor. TIOC-PRO was a first cam where Dahua did huge step here - using modern technology from mobile / sport / drone cams world.. classic 2D & 3D...- steve1225

Dahua released spec sheets for those new WizColor 5xx9-PRO cams... And it looks like they bumped third digit in models names from 5x49 to 4x59 - to show that this is BIG UPGRADE in technology... You received link to TIOC-PRO... with 54IR please remember (I wrote about this) there are MANY MANY different models in Andy shop... some are fixed lens which will give you wide coverage (but lack of details someone 10meters from camera), there are normal varifocal models ZE/ZHE with 0.5-2.0x... -

Color4K is a toy with a lots of problems.. And it's old model.. You should look at TIOC-PRO and 54IR cams... TIOC-PRO have better color performance at night, is dual light (IR + white) but for now is only available in fixed lens config (2.8 and 3.6mm).. in a few weeks there should be varifocal... -

SMD designation / versions tells how good AI models are in specific camera... if camera can do only SMD+ it means have very low powered AI accelerator which can do only smallest (most distilled) AI models... the same AI model used for SMD is used for IVS. Simply IVS just adds extra conditions... -

for recording 24/7 there is NVR / BI... I use camera sd-cards as BACKUP and they record only events... backup for situation that HDD in NVR will fail.. or someone will stole NVR (I usually mount them somewhere next to some TV).. there is no need to backup recording where nothing happens... -
