    The router shows the same IP address after a power loss. If it were losing its IP address, I wouldn't be able to access it via the IP address reserved for it. IOW... the camera is not losing the IP, BI is.

    Absolutely!!! I know exactly what you mean now. All three of mine are that way. Push the button, nothing happens, then it takes off and goes to far. I try to hold it down for less time, but no way to gauge where it will go. If I hold it down until it starts moving, it inevitably goes too far...

    Yep... would not update on mine either. I don't know what sluggish is because I've never had any other PTZ, other than the 45x which I need to get it mounted in the proper location before getting the best use of it.
