    Auto tracking with PTZ1A225-HNR-GB

Sorry! I was assuming you were using Blueiris, That's where the spotters come into play. I like the looks of your new toy. For some reason I had thought it had to be mounted with the camera ball up, as that was the only photos that I had seen before. Keep us informed of how it performs.

    Smallest Auto-Tracking Camera

Andy does have the newer PTZ3E405-AI that is made for active deterrence. I is considerably smaller that the SD49225XA and is not in the same ballpark but is cheaper. https://empiretech01.com/products/empiretech-ptz3e405-ai-1-2-8cmos-4mp-5x-tioc-ptz-camera?_pos=1&_psq=tioc&_ss=e&_v=1.0

    Auto tracking with PTZ1A225-HNR-GB

I would assume it would track animals with your setup. My SD4A425 and SD49225's track deer, dogs, cows, and racoons pretty well. I have human and vehicles checked. Don't remember size settings right off hand. Night time with IR is not as good. Thanks to wittaj, setting up spotter cams was a...

Would a boobie cam be the best in this situation?

Maybe a fisheye camera. Here is a sample photo of inside of a 100 ft long barn, 40 ft from camera to the containers exit wall for reference.

    IPC-T5442T-ZE blurry image area

Looks like an area where the lighting from the IR and the house light are not getting to it. Are you using H265 processing? If so then H264 may help.

    Frustrated with confusing model numbers

The Amcrest IP2M-841 was my first po boy PTZ so I pushed it to the limit by mounting it outside as a deer cam. Here are photos of how I mounted it in an electrical box and fed ethernet to it and using a 5 volt adapter to power it. Also attached is a video from it mounted and another with the...

    Frustrated with confusing model numbers

Those can be ran WiFi or ethernet and you can assign a fixed IP for both but will only feed one IP at a time. Mine are old and have to have a 5 volt barrel adapter to operate. The newer ones need 5 volt via a micro USB adapter. If you wire them to ethernet they still have to be fed 5 volts as...

    Frustrated with confusing model numbers

Yep, those are the same camera. Here is a link from Andy about the name changes. I think all of his cameras have changed identity due to Dahua's requsest for competative reasons. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/empiretech-item-name-adding-important.70173/ You should get at least 1 varifocal like...

Do I need to "Optimize" my SSD that contains the New folder.

^^^^ I agree. I have 32 cameras recording 24/7 on an old HP desktop, recording to WD purple drives and the only time that I can hear the drives is during the 2 AM database compact/repair. The pc is sitting on a metal cabinet and is about 5 ft from my head.

    IP5M-T1277EW-AI vs. IP5M-T1179EW

I bought an Amcrest IP5M-T1277EB-AI and for $59. I do not regret it. Compared to the IP5M-T1179EW I cannot tell much difference but the full aluminum construction is very nice. I do not use the deterrents feature. The IR at night works very well but I was not impressed with trying to run in...

    BTW this place

Here is an example where I had to do a multipoint to get internet to a neighbor. I had to make the barn the AP. Note that the LOCO at the barn had to cover quite an angle to communicate to both of the stations.

big price difference with same sensor???

Those Amcrest IP5M-T1179EW's work very well and not awfull with IR at night. The only thing that I do not like is their plastic bodies and locking mechanism. After 3 years mine are still ticking along. Priced at $59.xx now but frequently sell for $50.

    Loryta SD49225XA-HNR Trigger Happy

I have one of those and it shows Total working time 1028 days. About a week ago it started giving constant ONVIF alert so I turned it off and went back to using BI triggers. After reading this topic I logged in with IE and sure enough it had enabled motion detection. I turned it off, saved...

    BTW this place

Well that is quite a nice start. With that much area to cover you need some 25X to 45X PTZ's from Empiretech. Great selection from $389. to $2280. I use them to monitor animules up to about a mile. If your barn is within view of your casa then you need to shoot a network to it with some Ubiquiti...

Great. I was gonna suggest trying to login with a browser to make sure it wasn't the app creating a problem. On the app the WAN line is not important as it uses the LAN entry of your TS IP.
