anyone know if i can use a 24v 12w injector or a 24v 24w injector or a 154v 12w injector for the 5442T-ZE camera? not to fond of the 2 prong oem adapter. all it says is 12v <7.5w specs and doesnt even list what poe spec it is. -

yeah i noticed that when i went looking for specs, its either 2.8 or 4 or 6. i will stick with the 5442 for now and see how things go, buying 2 x 5442 will put me at just under $400 and maybe re-coup about $100 from selling the eufy cams to a friend since he is running 1 of them now. -

the filtered outlet on the powerline 2000 makes a huge difference in xfer speed. if you plug anything into the same outlet box as the adapter it kills the xfer speed. -

yeah i run all unifi stuff, ap, switch, controller but just wasnt getting the xfer speed on the unifi ap in mesh mode. so i went out and got a netgear powerline 2000 set. getting about 114mbps (ookla speedtest) and (14-20 MBps) local file transfer using the powerline. dont get the powerline 1200... -

i run slim cat 6a for all my network cabinet stuff from monoprice here is a regular cat 5e cable compared to my slim line cat 6a cable. (regular cat 6 and 7 are even thicker than the 5e cable) -

well at least you have lines in place that you could piggy back the new line pull, tied them off to the coax and pull the new ethernet cables with (my suggestion would be to tied off two ethernet lines to the coax pull and have a spare in case one fails, run prob cat 6 or 6a unless you really... -

well i am thinking of using a junction box cause the winters up here are pretty much sideways snow all the time so snow would ingress into the base unless its properly sealed, easier with a weatherproof junction box and a rubber gaskets between the camera base and junction box and then sealing... -

reason being is using a junction box vertically will keep the unit closer to the wall and out of being blinded by the floodlight, the wall mount pushes it out that it might get blinded if the floodlight is below the camera. i was thinking it would be easier to mount the junction box to siding... -
