There would have been no reason to leak a done deal as you propose it was. It would have only been done with the purpose of trying to influence the final outcome, if thats not the case, there should have been an immediate, yup, here it is,
I did find a place that showed they worked on computers and advertised to install security and audio/video alarm systems. T?he phone receptionist told me they could work on cameras and NVRs. I get there and describe the problem with the camera and the NVR to this young guy. As I describe...
Well I got the new NVR, UPS, aux power supply, but the surge protectors are still a week out. Will switch over to the new NVR tomorrow when the UPS batteries are fully charged. Played with the ptz on the old NVR. Plugged in the aux power first and the camera appeared to come to life. IRs...
Searching the threads, I found what I think I need for near lightning surge protection of the cable to ptz on the rv shed. TonyR, do you still feel the Ubiquiti ETH-SP is a good set up for each end of the cable run? Going to town today to see if I can find the power supply. If I don't find...
Tony R: My 49225 doesn't have the black/red power pair, just the power connector. I'll have to get a power supply with the right specs and jack. I've got a 6V 2.5A with the right jack and a 12V 1.6A with too small of a jack.
Andy: thanks for posting, if you would send me a quote for new...
Thank you Flintstone61, I guess I'll get over my "You Dumbass" (senior) moment. LOL. I will have to come up with a source with a jack, if you still think I need to try aux power after reading this.
Thanks TonyR and sebastiantombs too for putting up with my deficient camera knowledge.
OK...
Tony: It is an sd49225xa-hnr that I have issue with. It has been running completely on POE port on back of the NVR for a year and a half. The 49225 specs says 12 VDC, 3 A (± 10%) PoE+
So does the NVR somehow sense and regulate the required DC voltage going to the cameras or does the higher...
Thanks Tony, so does that mean the 24 V power supply would not hurt the 12 V ptz. I am not electrical/electronics fluent. I know that I know just enough to be dangerous.
Another quick question, does the NVR POE+ ports put out 12 and 24 VDC, I'm not seeing that on its spec sheets, just 25.5 watts max per channel. The power supply I have is 24 VDV for a sd5a425 ptz, the 49225 shows to be 12 VDC.
Thank you, will try that as well. I just hope its not dead. Have a few chores to do, so it may be a little later today or tomorrow before I can report back.
Thank you for replying!!!
OK, I was worried there might be an issue with POE and alternate power source applied together. If port power is dead maybe no issue unless shorted. I guess my bigger concern would be not to damage camera if its a port only issue but will try that.
I think I'll...
I don't think it came with an alternate source, but one of my new PTZs has one, I'll have to look tomorrow to see if it is compatible voltage. Is there something I need to switch off on the NVR POE+ port before plugging in the cable. Or am I just wanting to know if there are signs of life when...
Bought an 8 channel NVR, 3 IPC-T5241 turret cameras, and a 49225 PTZ from Andy in Nov 2020. All have been working great until recently. Had a power outage, and when power was restored, the PTZ camera shows "Failed to find network host" on the NVR (says Channel is offline on DMSS). Have seen...
That's what I figured, Crickets on response to the policy question.
Apparently that Mechanical Engineer was a free thinker and not a script reader/repeater.
There must not have much harm Trump policies done if he has to think about it to come up with a few things. It's not like he was asked to list the good things that Biden has done. Is there a Democrat version of Q, maybe that's who he has to seek his answers from? Maybe having to watch reruns...
CT keeps digging to find that Trump did something horrible, and ignores the buckets full of dirt he is sifting thru to find that grain of sand. TDS must be a heavy burden to bear.
They don't bother to wonder why there are not a lot of cops or firemen in rural areas. Unlike their sorry, lazy, millennial, city asses, that stand around and watch things about to get burned or people get shot or beaten, rural folks have neighbors that will jump in and do what needs to be done...
Yeah, about the same odds as Killery, Comey Brennen, Clapper, Rosenstein, McCabe, AOC, Omar, BLM, and Anti rioters, where there is overwhelming evidence of illegal activities.
I see this is an old thread, and you never got any responses, but did you get it figured out. I have something similar going on with 4 cameras. After a power outage, one stayed offline, the other 3 are intermittently offline together. I need to check the connection at the camera for power for...
Case closed, I was tired and in a hurry for an answer because I'd found one of the cameras showing only 1 in stock. Found out that Andy's main email was being blocked and his alternate email was going to my spam email folder. Email issues resolved, question answered, and cameras ordered...
The SD5A425 PTZ says 24VDC, the SD49225 PTZ says its 12VDC, and the SD49225 PTZ says its 12VDC. I've been pounding on a computer all day or else I'd try to do more searching on my own.
I'm running 3 turret IPC-T5241H-AS-PV (12VDC) and a SD49225 PTZ currently with no problems. I am wanting to...
