More view better for certain. However, I really dislike the audio distortion caused by Dahua's noise reduction filter. I always turn that off to get better fidelity audio. In some of my newer cams with web 5.0 GUI, turning off the noise reduction filter is buggy and requires turning it on before...- guykuo

Loryta IPC-Color-4KT Continues to Impress (Even Caught Andromeda Galaxy)
Having this recording 24/7 for scenery rather than security has been a big thumbs up from the wife. Glad I decided to try one even if I'm late to the party. Wait.... T5IR-ZE-S3 can switch PROFILES by itself without a schedule? I've never heard of any Dahuas having that ability. They all seem unable to switch profiles on the basis on lighting, but always need to switch via schedule or external scheduling program. On the Color4K-T I have not... -

So.... basically putting the cams on a VLAN. Maybe querying a networking site regarding the cheapest VLAN solution would be the route to take. -

I suspect there won't be much experience here with doing that. The majority of users here are doing nearly the polar opposite of what you are trying to achieve. The majority of us are using NVR's and dual-NIC PC's to isolate our cameras from the outside world. -
Even More Satellites March 15, 2024
This one is probably my best thus far. This is a bit slower at 30X speed. This is pretty nifty looking on my 150 inch screen. Wish I could upload the full quality version, but file is way too big at 2.23 GB. Youtube 4K is only practical way to distribute.- guykuo

There is some sort of correlation. It went from once or twice daily down to once in several days. Not a direct cause effect, but does have an effect. We also know zero battery causes complete non-function. Easiest solution is of course to replace the camera entirely -

Xgecu arrived. Now we await the slow delivery via China post of the chips and adapter. Meanwhile Delta did a spontaneous reboot - after five days not doing so. -
SODOLA 4 Port Gigabit PoE Extender
Someonw with an NVR will have to answer. The port must output enough power (POE+) and the NVr must assign the IP addresses despite all on same line.- guykuo

Reporting success running three Loryta turret cameras off one POE+ line using this 1 in 3 out POE extender/switch. Runs all three cameras just fine even with their IR illumination on. Unit is amazingly small. Fits inside a Zippity No-Dig Vinyl fence post when oriented with ethernet sockets...- guykuo

Some useful CGI commands for adjusting night profile gain and shutter speed. FPS in encode should already be set to match slowest frame rate that goes with shutter speed. Dahua Color 4KT Optiimizing for Star Field
Did some experiments with varying shutter times from 200 to 1000 msec. The longer times are possible using CGI commands, but counterintuitively, the camera actually gets better star captures with shortish exposures rather than super long. On mine 225 msec with a gain of 50 gave the most stars...- guykuo

Did you accidentally enable ROI (Region of Interest) in the camera settings? Having an ROI set for that inner rectangle would create exactly this effect. Delta has not done its usual spontaneous reboots, but now staunchly refuses to store any new settings into permanent memory. Settings do take effect and remain active until next reboot (either soft or via disconnect ethernet cable.) Also, Delta readily saves and imports its configuration. Once... -
