Mobotix D14 on Hikvision DS-9632NI-I8 NVR

The camera is ONVIF compatible so it should work with the NVR, but you will lose some camera functionality. It is best with NVRs to use the same manufacturer for the cameras as that of the NVR.

Some Ideas to improve reliability of my IP cam network

Sounds good. Have you thought about lightning protection for outdoor runs or runs between buildings? Also I use Tycon Systems POE extenders that run about 500 feet and no a single problem. Using an UPS for your NVR or PC? (POE-EXT-GD-HP) Outdoor Gigabit PoE Extender, 802.3at in/out extends...

IR illuminators that are 12v AC/DC compatible

I believe you correct in that most have rectifiers in them. If you hook 12VAC to them and they don’t have a rectifier they will just flash 60 times a second. Rectifiers are cheap, just buy 1 in case it’s needed.

Hikvision - Visible in SADP, not in browser

What is your router IP address? What does SADP show as the camera is address? You can change the IP address of the camera in SADP. Example: If your router is say 192.168.1.1 then your camera should be something like 192.168.1.100. The first three numbers should be the same. The last can be...

Quiet 16 ports Poe switch recommendation

Connect your cameras to 4 of the switches. Then connect the uplink port of those 4 switches to the ports of the 5th switch. Connect the uplink port of this last switch to the input of NVR.

Quiet 16 ports Poe switch recommendation

There are some out there, just search for “Poe switch fanless”. Did you consider purchasing multiple 4 port Poe switches rather than one large one? Thry typically don’t have fans. That way it is cheaper to have a spare. You would need 5 to get the necessary ports (16) plus 1 more for a spare...

    Recommended Radios

What I meant is you could use 2 different models of radios since one hop is 1/2 the length of the other. I was suggesting that all 4 be the same model that way you don’t have to deal with different models and if you wanted a spare you only need one.
