garage cam install location recommendations requested

Thanks for that, @looney2ns. At night, when the lights go on, I am assuming it only helps the builtin IRs, right ? I got a bucket with sand and 2x4x10 ready for a trial run, will give that a shot.

Hey All, Attaching a couple of pics of front of the house, requesting recommendations for two dahua 5231R installs. My thoughts were to put them slightly above the garage lights so I can fish the wire through the existing lighthole. Feedback/recommendations requested. thanks.

Recommendations of a POE switch(4+ port) for home use

no need to overthink on a 4port POE - LOL get one that @fenderman suggested. There's a BV Tech on amazon for around $40, its fanless. I am using that, no issues. If you got money to burn, get a ubiquiti 8 port POE that will give you 150watts. what exactly are you planning to use that will...

    Ideal router

I have the synology RT-AC2600 router, very stable, no issues. Rare to no reboots. Been using for around 10 months. Having said THAT...I have now jumped on the ubiquiti bandwagon. Just got their edge router, still in the box. It will offer greater configuration flexibility if you are wanting to...
