    If that's the case then I would think that could be easily fixed in firmware by simply making the circuit closed pulse a bit longer. I just received the doorbell and it only "dongs" my chime. I tried it on a friends home and it ding-dongs his chime.

    I think motion detection will only work if you're using HV cameras. I have one Foscam ONVIF camera on my HV NVR and has to be set to continuous record. All my other cams are HV on motion.

    If I understand your question correctly then yes, that can absolutely work. At your NVR you will need a switch, two ports will be going to the POE switches that have your cameras, and one port to the NVR (and possibly one port to your home network/LAN/WAN if you want remote viewing).
