    OpenMediaVault and Amcrest Camera

Did a reboot of the camera now seeing files, but still the video clips are very small. Tomorrow I'll try to get this as a test on Ethernet to see if that helps, right now I'm on wifi cause its in my garage and no way to get cables down there...

    OpenMediaVault and Amcrest Camera

Don't see that as an option in the Amcrest cameras...unless I'm missing something?

    OpenMediaVault and Amcrest Camera

Did that. FTP seems to work, as it creates the folders and gives snapshots / broken videos. NAS doesn't seem to work even though its setup the same just without login

    OpenMediaVault and Amcrest Camera

I set this up as SMB share as well so assume its being used for NFS and SMB, I can get to it via smb but I have to login as one of the users, which a camera wouldn't have to do...

    Amcrest camera NAS to OpenMediaVault

Anyone have this setup? I've got it so that I can connect to OMV Shared as NFS, but no files are dropped in the specific location. I believe it has something to do with permissions as I have to login when I SMB from windows, but the Amcrest camera can't login, no options on the screen....

    OpenMediaVault and Amcrest Camera

I think it might be a permissions thing. When I go to SMB to the share in windows I have to login, but I know the camera doesn't have the ability to login, so not sure how to setup anonymous file drops to the share

    OpenMediaVault and Amcrest Camera

That is set. I assume the client box is set for the camera IP? does it matter the port on the camera?

    OpenMediaVault and Amcrest Camera

    OpenMediaVault and Amcrest Camera

Changed to /export/ and get the confirmation of NFS succeeded but still no video is shown when I go into the drive via windows...unless NFS and SMB on windows are not the same? Would think they should still show up though?

    OpenMediaVault and Amcrest Camera

Trying to setup the Amcrest Camera to send motion detection video / clips to a NAS on OMV. I've got the OMV setup with NFS active, and the share setup I think is correct, I just called in SSD. Tthe only issues is that I have no way to know if its connecting to the NAS, and no files are...

Whats the wattage for the IP5M-T1179 camera? I see the dual jack you linked to shows 30 watts. For two of the IP5's that should be enough yes?

Multi Port AV Powerline Adapter with POE injector?

I do believe that is what I'm looking for. Would need a pair of them since the G.hn isn't the same as the AV but that would do the trick. Thanks!

Multi Port AV Powerline Adapter with POE injector?

Looking for a Multi Port AV Powerline adapter that injects POE, all coming out of the AC Wall plug. Do they make such a thing? Trying to limit the amount of stuff I have in one of my bedrooms to a single box. Right now I've got a AV Powerline adapter connected to a POE switch with cables going...

VPN and multiple cameras at multiple sites

Should the Asus routers have the ability to do a site to site VPN? I assume then it would constantly be on at all sites and the IP's would have to be different?

VPN and multiple cameras at multiple sites

Will I be able to have multiple VPN connections running at once? I've got a camera program IP CENTCOM that I use to monitor cameras at all 3 sites, but if I have to VPN into my parents and the vacation home, then some of those won't always work correct?

Thanks for the reply. I currently have my OpenVPN setup on my asus router at my house, and was successful in using my mobile phone LTE to connect to my cameras in my house without opening ports. My parents also have an Asus router at their house, I assume I can do the same thing for them and...
