Yea, keep an eye out on this. Definitely don't send them another $400. I will keep this thread updated.

    Calling any Doorbird owners

The ones that we all want really only seem to exist for the commercial world. Doorbird was seemingly our most hopeful and at $400, they have pretty much dropped the ball. Now that I have tommyd75 confirming that my experience is not isolated, I'm pretty upset. Doorbird should have acknowledged...

    Calling any Doorbird owners

I had the same exact thought. I was pulling the stream to Blue Iris but I killed it to try to eliminate this possibility. I killed it on 7/3 and have had consistent resets after that. PS: Are you pulling audio? Did you run into the issue with the Doorbird only allowing a single audio stream and...

    Calling any Doorbird owners

Yea, that's how I started discovering this problem. I had a guest sitting outside my door and they knew I was home, but I was seemingly unresponsive via the doorbell. Eventually they knocked and shortly after I opened, we heard "The doorbird is now connected to the Internet". Then I did a...

    Calling any Doorbird owners

@tommyd75, what time zone are you in? I had a reset at 10:13 EST. I'm curious if somehow they are commanding this to happen centrally, the times that mine seem to reset are very erratic but happen once a day. Any idea if your Doorbird made any audible noises when it did this ("The doorbird is...

Blue Iris compatible doorbell/intercom/2 way audio

@Jessy: A few points: To capture the Blue Iris market, two way audio must work. Unit isn't quite attractive enough for home use. Need a way to integrate a door chime easily. Either an addon item (like Doorbird/Ring has) or a relay that can be easily connected to. For MOST residential users...

Nice, thanks for setting up the test. I look forward to hearing about your results. I haven't heard anything back from Doorbird since I sent them a video of it happening :(

    A new z-wave controller hub

I run an ISY (isy994i / zw+insteon) to control Insteon and Z-Wave devices along with HTTP based network resources. The scripting language leaves a bit to be desired and their devices support is not always the most current. No forced cloud (but they have a gateway) and a reasonable HTTP based API...

    Web Power Switch price increase

That mPower unit is priced very nicely. I assume you will be integrating some automation? Have you tried/look at this API? mPower, mFi Switch and mFi In-Wall Outlet HTTP API - Ubiquiti Networks Community

According to their changelog, their last firmware update was 2017-06-28 (The smartphone and tablet IP Video Door Station for iOS and Android). How long ago did you notice this? When I first noticed this happening, I initially blamed other things before I started looking at historical logs from...

    Web Power Switch price increase

I have an EPCR5 from them, bummer about the price increase for the other models. What do the failure modes look like? How long in service? I have both APC and Raritan managed/metered PDUs at work but they are significantly more expensive and have weak scripting/API capabilities compared to DL. I...

PTZ Cameras lagging behind Drone-Tech (A General Question)

You bring up a really good question. Even if we remove the outdoor requirement, the indoor PTZ offerings are still huge and and have optics that can't compare to what we are seeing mounted to these quadcopters.

    Calling any Doorbird owners

Does anyone else have one? I am currently going back and forth with their support about a very odd behavior that happens every day. The unit appears to reboot itself and then proceeds to announce "The doorbird is now connected to the internet". It really is a most excellent feature for an urban...

Hey, I saw you have a Doorbird, I have one as well and have been testing it for a few months now. I was curious if you are still running it? I have had a few issues with my unit that I've talked to Doorbird support about and they haven't been very responsive, so I was curious about your setup...

Blue Iris compatible doorbell/intercom/2 way audio

I have a Doorbird. Ken @ Blue Iris has been using access to mine in order to add more Doorbird integration to Blue Iris. Capturing the video feed and the audio feed via Blue Iris does work, two-way audio does not. One catch about capturing the audio feed is that Doorbird only allows a single...

    Amcrest 941 Park/Home/Automatic PTZ Location

I see. Empirically, the 941 seems to recall presets just fine so in theory it feels like it could work. Just missing the timeout feature. Either way, you are right. I also just confirmed with Amcrest that this feature is not available. Thanks

    Amcrest 941 Park/Home/Automatic PTZ Location

Has anyone found a setting in the Amcrest cameras for an automatic park to a fixed PTZ location after a timeout? Just double check if I have totally overlooked it, I cannot find any setting for this.

Security warning if you use IP based authentication (Non-LAN only/Limit IP) - Take action ASAP

Maybe but this vulnerability exists regardless of the login attempts. If you allow your LAN network to access blue iris as anonymous (or admin with ^), someone from the Internet would be able to access it as if they were on their LAN, bypassing any user/password authentication.

Security warning if you use IP based authentication (Non-LAN only/Limit IP) - Take action ASAP

Hi, Please continue reading if you meet this criteria: Blue Iris version OLDER than 4.4.9.4 AND Non-LAN only authentication OR Limit IP access If your BlueIris instance is exposed to the Internet and meets the above criteria then please either update your Blue Iris version or disable the...

Closest match to Nest Outdoor but ONVIF/POE based (audio)

Yea, I'm guessing the VoIP based kit isn't going to pan out too well with BI since it uses RTSP. I'd even settle for a camera that works correctly with BI for video but I am forced to switch to a camera specific app for proper realtime audio & video. Thanks for the Mobotix pointer, they do have...

Closest match to Nest Outdoor but ONVIF/POE based (audio)

Hi, Nest really nailed their setup with the outdoor camera with speaker and microphone. I have a robust Blue Iris setup with tons of cameras but I have yet to nail the outdoor audio. Friends of mine show up with simple Nest setups and have awesome two way audio outside from the start. Usually...
