BI Slows Down Computer After 1 Hour

I did turn off hardware acceleration in the global settings and for all cameras. I also set GPU to 0 for all cameras. After that I restarted BI but this didn't help. Then for Malwarebytes I also added the exe files according to the documentation (see attachment), again restarted BI but...

    Get Older BI Versions

Where can I get an older version of BI, specifically 5.3.3.8. I uninstalled BI and want to reinstall it. In this forum I found Blue Iris Updates (64 bit) - History but it turns out those are just updates and not full installations.

BI Slows Down Computer After 1 Hour

Windows Defender is turned off. Instead, I am using Malwarebytes and in that software I excluded the folder to which BI stores the video clips. Regarding is 24/7. The computer is my regular computer so I do other stuff on it but nothing much. The biggest resource hog is Chrome. But even when I...

BI Slows Down Computer After 1 Hour

When I start BI my system starts responding very sluggishly after about 1h. After a few hours all HikVision and Dahua cameras freeze up (the time embedded by the cams is not updating anymore). Only a couple of cheap wireless cameras are still responding. When I go to the settings of a HikVision...

    BlueIris Crashing Frequently

BlueIris (BI) has been running pretty stable for a long time. However, lately it keeps on crashing all the time (like every 2-3 hours). I suspect it has something to do with my system which is a regular Win10 system with the latest updates, a reasonably fast processor i7-9700k, 32GB RAM. I did...

    IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E Angle Adjustment

Thank you! That works indeed. It's a bit hard to adjust the rotation (along the viewing angle) as the mount to the camera rotates first. You have to try a bit to actually have the ball head rotate but it works.

    IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E Angle Adjustment

I have a IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E to read license plates. It is temporarily mounted in the front yard which is angled so water flows down to the street. I am going to permanently mount it using concrete and PVC pipes. I am a bit concerned when doing this that I don't get the angle quite right. I can...

Two POE Cams Over One Ethernet Cable

Ah, so you just used a square box. That's probably the easiest. Drill a few holes and done.

Two POE Cams Over One Ethernet Cable

How did you do that? I did go to home depot today and bought some 4" ABS pipe. It's about 4mm 1/6" too wide (you can see the rim in box2.png). I would also have to create some adaptor plate for the top so I can secure the camera and another adaptor plate at the bottom so I can mount the thing to...

Two POE Cams Over One Ethernet Cable

Thanks, and you were able to fit this into a junction box without bending the Ethernet cables too much (as they need to go through that hole in the middle)? I think I found one that might work physically for my Dahua and HikVision cams...

Two POE Cams Over One Ethernet Cable

Thinking about it, why does the solution with the cable splitter require two PoE ports? The signal from the two cameras is transferred over just 8 conductors. So why do they have to be taken apart? The solution that requires only one PoE port can do it. I guess some kind of processing must be...

    NTP Time Synchronization & Legal

Due to legal matters it seems I need to have the cams embed the time directly instead of BI embedding it (I am still not sure if BI embedding time would disable direct-to-disc even when I enable it). But how do I enable and NTP server on Win 10? Apparently there is a built-in tool in Win10 and...

    Configuration Tool & ivms4200

Ah, that worked like a charm. I didn't realize I had to add the camera first. Thanks a lot! This seems like a good tool to use. I was able to change the OSD settings and there are a lot of other options. Thanks again!

    Configuration Tool & ivms4200

Got it now. But how do you get to this page? I selected the cam and tried about every menu but didn't get to any "Remote Config" page.

    Configuration Tool & ivms4200

Well, I can configure the IP address and such from the SADPTool. But as far as I know you can't set the OSD information and position from that tool.

    Configuration Tool & ivms4200

That looks similar to the SADPTool. I am looking for something allows me to do all the stuff that you would usually do through the web interface.

    Configuration Tool & ivms4200

I have some issues with configuring my HikVision cams using the web interface, in particular the OSD settings. Doing some googling it seems this is a know problem and among suggestions of using a different browser someone also suggested ivms4200. This applications seems to be end of life...

It is in Northern California. I did do this in the hopes of making our city/neighborhood safer. That's also why I am installing a license plate camera reader. If something happened on my property I hope that other people who did also register their cams help law enforcement to get the culprit...

Two POE Cams Over One Ethernet Cable

Depends!!! I am no expert in this at all but I suspect that on the outside those Nellysecurity switches are probably just switching the path of connectors, i.e. no chips are involved. If that is true, then they should be less affected by hot or cold temperatures (humidity is a different story)...

The legal topic is kind of interesting and I already made changes (no time recording in BI, though I am rethinking this again). I our city the police department is reaching out to residents to register their cameras for law enforcement purposes. I registered mine so I hope from a legal point of...

@mattp I have run into this now a couple of times ("you don't have a problem until you do"). On the other hand, it is rather unlikely we get some murder or other serious crime at our house because our house has the most lights, the most cameras, our side gates have locks (most side gates in the...

@Flinstone61 that is exactly my feeling. I don't like the fact that I have to run another program to sync the time stamps on the cams. It seems some people had issues with video being thrown out because it was embedded with BI. I find this kind of ridiculous but I can imagine it has happened...

    Rotating Date/Time

With Dahua cams is it possible to rotate the date and time when you have the camera configures in portrait mode instead of landscape. Please see the attached image which is approx. the upper left quarter part of the image (I didn't want to get my neighbors license plate into the picture). But...

Huh, that is crazy. As if I would video edit some dude walking into our yard and steal things and nobody can see that it was edited. But thank you for pointing this out. I guess I need to disable the BI timestamp and try to have the cams keeps up with time. Then again, here in California land if...

My cams have not internet connection except through VPN. I had security issues and then blocked them from opening any port in my router. Currently, the cams are on the same LAN as all other devices (computers, phones, AppleTVs, AVRs, etc). They are on a separate 16 port PoE switch, though and I...

I am not quite following. My Windows PC always has the right time. The issue is that the cameras sometimes 'lose' the time or they don't adjust to daylight savings time, etc. Is there some solution to keep the camera in sync with the computer, e.g. something is updating the time on the cams...

    Overlap

Any angle for people coming from the street is covered from the left and from the right. Though barely, i.e. maybe 4 feet overlap. But there is a slightly bigger overlap from cams from the left and from the right. The times are a bit annoying. I try to have the time embedded by the camera so...
