Edgecore 4210 not providing POE to Ali /af compatible board

I haven't fully dived into this yet. I have a couple of POE switches, including one that is only 10/100. The Edgecore above can do gig POE, and so can a netgear Prosafe. The prosafe sends POE just fine- I've measured 48v and 12v reliably. However the edgecore doesn't;I have NOT been able to...

    EZViz Camera: CS-CV110-A1, photos, passwords...

Well the chip is of the board. So I can program to my heart's content. What I can't find is a flex of of the board to a socket to program. I know they exist... At least I hope they weren't custom when I used them before. Would make life so much easier.

    EZViz Camera: CS-CV110-A1, photos, passwords...

Re-read the chip with the OOB/spare area disabled. Quick look in the hex editor shows the file at least lining up where I'd expect. Somewhat oddly, I haven't received an error for any of the reads and verifies. So it appears that these reads are good... New file.

    Sony block cam upgrade?

https://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G24430 Is this anything worth buying and upgrading with a new sensor/IP board? Given the zoom range on the lense it sounds nice on paper.

Sealevel activated by water pressure switch

You've got tons of options. You can get some that are electrically actuated to close a relay- some that are both NO and NC so you can't get a 'bad' signal easily, etc. I've got ones that'll switch 125V AC and 12VDC, but lower amps o nthe DC...

LPR with a pair of IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E

In all these cases when you run the LPR software, you're still saving out the video capture of the event right? That way you can eyeball the plate if need be. At least that's what I've assumed you'd do...

New Hikvision Acusense NVR or DeepInView NVR?

Physically what's the difference on the boxes? What are they running these deep learning algos on chip-wise?

    New G1 camera root status

Wait, so in theory I can patch up the ezviz cameras as they were based on the G1? Ooooh that'll make me very happy. I can order new NAND, flash it on the computer, then solder it back down. Unless anyone knows any flex/breakout cables I can use to make a socketed NAND chip?

    EZViz Camera: CS-CV110-A1, photos, passwords...

I'll look when I get home. I honestly have 3 cameras in pieces right now and I can't remember, but I'd be shocked if there wasn't one. All of them have a tiny bag of what appears to be zeolite desiccant (as opposed to silica gel). The camera was regular screws or allen wrench, and there's a tiny...

Dahua zoom /varifocal IPcams with SD Cards?

I have a Dahua without an SD Card slot, but it does have the breakouts and headers on the board. If you're aware of a teardown or a specific model of the varifocal with a attached SD card slot (micro), please let me know. There's a couple of unpopulated pads and I don't know what components are...

    Review-OEM 4mp AI Cam IPC-T5442TM-AS Starlight+

Any idea how much space is in the varifocal for a longer lens? I ended up putting on this M12 50mm lens to get the necessary distance, but still need to house it. Rolling my own has been a pita. http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/5yoPD3UU

    EZViz Camera: CS-CV110-A1, photos, passwords...

I read out the data using my official XGecu TL866II dumper (you know how hard it is to buy legit products some time?? Sheesh) and the software. Was one of the first dumps I made with the unit. And it appears you're right- I missed reading that, so I must have grabbed the OOB data as well...

    EZViz Camera: CS-CV110-A1, photos, passwords...

@alastairstevenson here ya go! I did 4 reads; none match (hah!) but I've got enough data to complete the 'right' file. That's not what's in this dump, though, as I hadn't gotten around to doing it yet. I'm wondering why they were bad- doesn't appear to be OOB errors, but... it's the first...

Waterproof housing (similar to Dahua zoom) for DIY LPR?

Dang! That's slick. Probably way out of my league, too. I'll have to search for those. Nice bosch camera though - I tore a dead one apart awhile back, have the chips waiting to be burned and dies looked at for fun. I wonder what's on them.

    EZViz Camera: CS-CV110-A1, photos, passwords...

I have decided that dumping the chip off board was easier (aka, didn't want to wait). So I now have a 128mb rom file. Interestingly, it's portions are encrypted. Haven't yet tried to pull it apart yet. I'm guessing 128mb is a bit too big to post here. Any idea where would be a good spot?

    EZViz Camera: CS-CV110-A1, photos, passwords...

The real power and thanks goes to @Pathogen and @alastairstevenson . It was their thoughts that made me think the trojan would work, and then going back I found out it did. Right now I'm looking for a third attack- the NAND chip itself.

    EZViz Camera: CS-CV110-A1, photos, passwords...

Hey @alastairstevenson - the trick works, but only with an 'old' camera when attached to the NVR. You can extract 1 password- which lets you connect to the ONVIF streams. But you can't control it - I hadn't figured out the salt/crypto. @Pathogen Password to let you see the feeds are: eZV1Z&BunD1E

Waterproof housing (similar to Dahua zoom) for DIY LPR?

I'm looking for a housing for my DIY 50mm Sony IMX291 LPR. I couldn't find anything with close specs, and I frankly got tired of fighting it, so for 20$ from Ali and another 25$ for a fast optic, I now have a lense capable of reading license plates to the edge of my circle (and a bit beyond)...

My UPS Caught Fire Last Night

I'm all for balancing risks. I simply wanted to point out that there are simple risk reduction measures you can take with a UPS. Anytime you store energy there's a risk of fire/explosion/spontaneous release. Stuffing tinder around things that use electricity is one of those 'risk reduction'...

How best to manually cut off wire ends on a pass through RJ45 connector

I have also injected dielectric grease into the connection prior to inserting the wire, especially if they're going to be somewhere with weather fluctuations. I haven't noted significant issues anywhere, but I'm sure they'll dry out eventually.

My UPS Caught Fire Last Night

In all seriousness here, things break. Usually there's enough safety built into the hardware via fuses, zeners, diodes, transient suppression, gas arrestors - it doesn't happen. Yet anytime you store energy... sheeet happens. So... don't pack flammables around it. Place it up so there's air...

50mm lense for imx293 Sony starvis sensor

My UPS Caught Fire Last Night

UPS: sudden low backup time and warranty?

First, use a load meter like kill a watt. Then multiply by the power factor inverse. Sounds right. Batteries die. Assuming SLA (sealed lead acid) they have a Max life of 3 years and significantly less if you deep discharge them... And deep is anything over 20% of use. So get new batteries, add...
