    It's a nice camera, but it does not have auto tracking. I'm kind of set to have that feature.

    I haven't. I will look into it, thanks. I don't need a lot of zoom, I don't care watching, what is doing my sixth neighbor, or see a bird a mile away. I care about, what is going on around my house. I have a 5231R-Z12 for LPR and that is good enough for me.

    Actually, I think that SD52C225U-HNI should be a better camera and has auto tracking as well. I'm thinking, how about, if I make a few inches bigger install surface, to act as a shade for the camera, and this way it would be protected from sun and rain?

    The 5231R-Z, that is on the left side of the garage, has a view only up to that brick "wall". The 5231R-Z12, is for LPR.

    Here is a shot of my house. Where it would be possible to install one of these PTZ? I don't really see where I could install one. Under the roof,there is only a 4" angled depth.

    Thanks for that. In Los Angeles is not much rain, but we have a lot of sunshine. So, glare would be my main concern. I'm considering a PTZ camera, but this one won't fit under my roof(+ the above issues), there is not enough depth and SD49225T-HN is huge.

    Most likely, you can't go to close to the soffit, because you will encounter IR reflections, and if you go lower, than the sun light will hit it and it will deteriorate faster. I'm planning to use it, under my patio, at the sliding door.

    I have just flashed the R-Z and E-Z12 cameras that were PAL, with NTSC firmware and they are all NTSC now. They work with digital signal, does not matter, if they are PAL or NTSC. You are not connecting them to the TV directly, anyway.

    I have got the junction box for this camera(same as yours), and there are no instructions. Anybody could explain, how to install these properly? I see, that you have the camera base cutouts open. That is OK like that?

    OK, I'm back in business. IR connector, was unplugged. I have just opened up(Andy allowed it) the camera and the wire harness with plug, just came out easily. I guess, the connector wasn't plugged in all the way. Since I took it apart, I took a couple of shots:
