    Wait, I bought this end for the bare wires on the cam. I thought instead of using the male to male adaptor, I could plug this straight into the white RCA connector on the mic pigtail?

    Yeah, I have done the same thing over and over and it just plain does not work. What firmware are you on? I guess I'll see tonight if the issue is related to power but I am doubtful.
