    The Dahua SD59225U-HNI 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ is a better choice than the DH-SD49225T-HN. The reason I mentioned the purple hard drive is because recording video writes a lot to the drive and standard drives don't hold up.

    If you start with the varifocal you can make a test pole and try it at various locations and adjust the field of view so you will know what other cameras you may want/need.

    If you are paralleling along AC voltage you are probably getting a 60 hz signal induced on the cat 5 cables. Maybe you can kill the ac for a test.

    A friends Blue Iris started doing something similar today. I will start to open then closes over and over. I reinstalled Blue Iris and it still does it. Probably the latest Windows 10 update. I guess I will have to reset Win 10.
