    no 5.3.8 is crypted firmware you need to use other tools to decrypt recompile.... EDIT: just read that R0 cameras seem to be not encrypted. However they have an MTD Block storing information that 5.3.8 is already flashed. So you cannot downgrade. Some managed to earase other killed there...

    If this happens just change the language flag with the firmware tools. This is a common problem. Try 1 or 2 , your camera refuse one or the other because you flashed EN firmware to Chinese cam. If your camera shipped with 5.2.5 or older it is always recoverable.

    You can plug any ip camera on these ports and you can put switch behind. Working absolutely fine. The manual talking about "Router" it will not work on this ports to access the internet. That is all they want to tell there.

    You need to stick to the Colorcode / pairs If you crimp wrong like you you will get massive failed packets because the twisted pair needs to be respected. Even on short 10m cables it results in big failure. You can use A or B - Code like above.

    Really no need for POE+ on normal cameras. POE+ uses all cables to put power through so you can use bigger PTZ Domes but I think for most people / newbie here normal 802.3af is just fine. POE Switch is cheaper if you have >2 cameras

    I read you can update older cameras which came with 5.2.0 or so they are then fully hacked. Newer cameras have more protection and firmware will detect the chinaorigin in the bootloader some how. 5.2.5 will always work international but later wont.
