You could get this IR spot that also triples as a camera. https://empiretech01.com/products/empiretech-ipc-mfw5241t2-e3-ase-1-2-8-cmos-3-2-mp-triple-sight-perimeter-protection-bullet-wizmind-network-camera

    Looking for 3rd camera advice..

It depends on what you are aligning it to. It is truer to the left side of the house now than in that capture, but that makes it less true to everything else.

    Looking for 3rd camera advice..

In that capture I was actually working on the gate, trying to see if I could get it to swing inward so it wouldn't get in the way of the camera on the backside of the fence (one of the reasons for the electrical box). The main purpose was to house network runs and a POE switch for a...

    Looking for 3rd camera advice..

For reference, this is a T54IR-ZE at 12mm with the man 25ft away. If the pinch point is a gate, I would much rather a tighter field of view like these.

I forget, are the LEDs at the bottom of the turrets? If so, it might be helpful to install it upside down to gain a little distance between the LEDs and the ground, to keep it from being blasted with the reflection. If you do flip it over, you will then adjust the rotation in the GUI settings.

Project Farm Tests Security Cameras | This will shock you.

I like Project Farm; he does un-sponsored, unbiased testing and lets the results speak for themselves without trying to sell you on one product over another, but not a fan of this comparison because we all know these cameras are shit and it's because of reviews like this that it's hard to...

    The autism pandemic

This is something I have noticed, and pointed out to some of my neighbors when discussing random things. I am in a Young and Widowed group on Facebook and I always make comments about how the majority of women in the group were pregnant when their husband passed and also already had 6 or 8 kids...

    Property marker LPR camera

My initial solution for a Z12 is to remove the sun shade and, if possible, the armature to make it shorter. I would then cut a hole in the backside of the PVC post so that it doesn't stick too far out of the front. I would then use a box like this to both cover the hole in the PVC post and hide...

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

Definitely going to add it to my steps when provisioning a new camera. I still had motion turned on, but not always. Another argument for why it's good to also run SD cards in the cameras.

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

Seems to have fixed it immediately, even without running Find/Inspect. I'll need to go through and turn it off for all of them.

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

I just found it in the blue GUI. Network Settings > Platform Access > ONVIF tab

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

    Is it this ONVIF checkbox?

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

It will add and show the main stream, but that's it. I can't set main or sub. I will need to look for the ONVIF authentication setting.

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

Nope. Both GUIs. Absolutely nothing consistent other than they are attached to my house, haha. Installed at different times. Some -S3, some not.

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

I remembered I had a similar problem before, and went back through our DMs. I previously ended up using "Default" and it fixed the issue. It's not a full blown Factory Default, but you do lose everything else other than your log in and IP, which does help a little with not needing to shuffle...

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

The problem is I can't even add the Z12 back in after removing it. It won't even show the main and sub streams in the drop downs.

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

Hopefully a reboot does it because I don't want to factory reset 10 cameras.

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

I just reset the ONVIF password in the camera, and it made no difference.

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

Weird that it's showing this way on 9 of my cameras. I wonder if this is why I was struggling to get IVS captures with this Z12 when it was pointed at the path.

Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

Version 5.9.9.36 I had a B54IR-Z12E that was already added to BI. It was working fine. I took it down but this morning decided to use it somewhere else. When trying to add it again, I am getting this message when running Find/Inspect. I know the password is correct because it still had a...

SOS, Need a 220v Ethernet switch

Another option is using the appropriate C13 cord above with a 110v/240v to 12v power supply; then you could use any switch that required 12v. Options are out there. You will just need to pay attention to the item details.

So, nothing special as far as ports, speed, or size? This TP-link rack mount switch accepts 100v-240v. https://a.co/d/9ujmCgM Then use a C13 to appropriate plug on the other end. https://a.co/d/hbAOHTv (Schuko) https://a.co/d/fnbRcz1 (UK)

SOS, Need a 220v Ethernet switch

I'm not an engineer, but 12v is 12v. As long as the power supply is giving the proper output, and rated for the given input, it doesn't matter what the switch requires. Here is a 100v-240v input, 12v output, power supply. I would be surprised if the power supply included with some switches...
