    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Bullet Z5 7-35mm (IPC-HFW5231E-Z5)

From what I read the 2mp are better for just plain night photo as it makes the background brighter. While the 4mp provides more detail at the cost of background lighting. From LPR the extra MP do help. Could be wrong... But I remember reading that somewhere

Dahua Firmware Mod Kit + Modded Dahua Firmware

Thanks for the firmware! It worked on my 4431r-z, and fixed my time stamp auto reset issue I was having, figures crossed, and email test is now working. I am having trouble with p2p and trip wire still though. Anyone know what could be a problem?

Setting up a wifi camera on a network without access to the router

What kind of cam do you have? I've notice a lot of camera with we codes set up p2p connection avoiding the port forwarding. I'm not sure if this is the most secure thing, but definitely change default password. The camera would just need to have some kind of internet connection

    Onvif Compatible Doorbell Cam

Hope it works better than the Doorbird as far as NVR. If this ends up having a wired option I will be all over this, especially if it does record first and no cloud/ cloud bypass. Doorbird just released full compatibility with Hikvision. Nothing about Dahua/ Qsee, currently getting a cold...

We do have insurance on larger items. However, we do not exactly live at this location. It was over a week before I found out about our stuff being stolen. Cams are for me to check and see if something is off, and if so make the trip out there to see. Im sure it was planned as they did cut down...

Would that really work? or would they just know to look for the camera this time? I could probably ask my home alarm company for more signs. Have any of you guys used this? NVR104/108-P I like the small form factor. Doesn't have much upgradeability to it, but its pretty steathy, and can...

I am still looking, but no go so far. I rather have soemthing than nothing at the moment. Last week someone tried to cut our chain again, luckily I upgraded to something less bolt cutter friendly. Will probably get a new pad lock soon also. I may give up on recording some things back home, and...

What does this do? Boost cell phone reception? If related to the wireless internet. The install guy tried a few different products and an additional amplifier but said he wouldn't recommend service be installed at the location. That is similar to what I am looking at with Verizon, mainly the...

Thanks man! Is this internet box based on cell phone service? That canary may work as an option. I did try my sister-in-law's cell phone with Verizon and it had reliable signal and speed. I should have done a speed test, but didn't want to install anything on her phone. She was getting 4gLTE...

That would be a good idea for when the new storage building is place. I could mount that pretty high. As for a temp I guess I could just move it once things are done. That was one of my ideas for a quick notification, but a lot of the camera system I played with do not have great emailing...

Cool, I will look into Honeywell and Envisia a bit more. Do you know if I can integrate some of the sensor into domoticz or similar? If they are good for about 200 feet that would be great for around the main area, and all I wouldtruely need to do right away is get a trencher to do a gate...

Anyone have other reconmendation for alarm systems besides simply safe? I will be needing something that works off internet, or maybe GSM as a back up ( cell service sucks in the area). I wouldn't be surprised at all. It will be awhile before we replace the items as we plan to do some changes. It also why I would like the wireless/ quickish setup atm just in case.
