    Thanks, but I don’t think I need to connect it to the network yet. With a laptop plugged into one of the Poe ports I expect to be able to get to the web interface of the NVR. Right now everything is sitting on my kitchen table so its easy to do.

    Would you even have WiFi in the house to use with the cameras? Shouldn’t you be looking at some sort of 3G or 4G link up for the cameras?

    Hikvision have Starlight equivalent?

    Why do you say you need varifocal to identify someone 100 to 125' away? If you get the right fixed lens they would both have the same ability to identify someone. Or is my inexperience showing and I'm completely missing something here?
