blue iris 4xxx activation after pc crash

Probably not the same thing but I keep having to reactivate the program most times I reopen it. BI will reply to you but sometimes it can take a few days. If you have a full backup then if you restore the image then likely it'll work fine - happens with most programs.

    Diagnosing poor fps

Do you know what will be causing only a few hours to be saved? Since my last post - its not been recording much and I only have the last two hours on each cam saved ? EDIT for above- looking at the files - they are around 4G each and the setting in the clips/archiving section was set to delete...

    Diagnosing poor fps

It seems after a reboot its a steady 20fps now. Since it says Max Rate 500000 [20.00 fps], what should I set to be 1 or 2 fps higher than this? (ps I'm using your www interface and its great compared to the original very good work on this!) Edit - spoke to soon.. down to awful rates again...

    Diagnosing poor fps

Ok so I should change the iframe to 40 then since the max fps possible is 20 (at this 4.1MP resolution) - its currently at the default which is 50. I sure wish there was a way to set all the settings on each cam at once without having to navigate to each one ... bit of an effort! This is what...

    Diagnosing poor fps

I think I've found the problem here, I just set my server to run in static (high?)performance mode in the bios, and now the CPU is running around 20-30% and all cams are at 15FPS...feel a bit stupid making a massive post about this. I've even set it to record constantly and that seems to be...

    Diagnosing poor fps

The reason I went for a server type setup was to put in my rack pretty much, I am planning to replace my desktop (i7 920) but that seems to have trouble running all the cams (at least it did on an old install of win7 - not tried on a fresh install of win10, thats something I'm going to do...

    Diagnosing poor fps

Its an anciant server I got pretty cheap. I know its a powerhog but I dont really care about power to be honest. (new server for me but used/old server in reality - an old hp gen7) I've dropped down the frames that the cam generates on the actual cam interface and that has helped a bit. I'm...

    Diagnosing poor fps

I tried editing the post but I had an error saying it was spam-like. Just to add I'm using windows server 2012 r2 edit - I just turned on continuous recording and to be honest didnt notice much change. The cams are still laggy and recording/playback is basically useless I just walked around...

    Diagnosing poor fps

Hi I've read a lot of posts on here about fps and troubleshooting issues that can be related to fps. I recently bought a new server for BI, its a dual socket (2cpus x 12cores = 24 logical cores) x5650 2.67Ghz with 40G of ram. I have 11 cams; 1 foscam <unknown model> 9 hikvision ds 2cd2342wd-i...

Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

As many others have pointed out non-ssl email isnt supported. Would this be a lot of work to implement? Reason being I want to set up the tool to email a local email server rather than google/etc.. but the email software I'm using doesnt support ssl.

    Detached Garage

I havent set these up but another member of staff had a few issues getting them connected - he had a lot of packet loss and high pings when using the outdoor setting - he swapped to indoor and the issue went away. Unfortunately I wasnt involved in the set up so cant say what was happening but...
