Cannot add device to iVMS-4500 client

This is my 7th Hikvision camera. I see it in the online device list, but not able to add it to the client. The error message is "There is no resource to be imported". Any idea why?

Hikvision camera admin password reset tool

I bought one from eBay and they changed the default password 12345. I have no clue what it is and the tool is not working for me :( I had tried Hikvision previously, they said they don't support devices bought from a 3rd party seller. I am waiting for the eBay seller to respond.

Why isn't this particular camera not accessible outside of home network?

I agreed. The reason I bought this camera is that my friend has it so I figured if anything, he can help me (not), also I like the quality of the video and images.

Why isn't this particular camera not accessible outside of home network?

It worked! Thank you all! I had been very stubborn about updating any network setting because other 3 cameras have the exact same setting, 0.0.0.0 for gateway, 8.8.8.8 for DNS. Oh yeah, how come the other ones work without the proper gateway?

keeper: have you any luck calling the distributor? I spent the whole day searching for solutions but to no avail. I even called my ISP and they told me to add a new port which did not work, then they said to call the manufacture, back to square one.

Why isn't this particular camera not accessible outside of home network?

Did you get any response from the manufacture? I called Hikvision support and they said I bought mine off eBay so they are not responsible for support :mad-new:

Why isn't this particular camera not accessible outside of home network?

I have 4 Hikvision outdoor bullet cams. I had them configured in the same fashion, with port forwarding, so that I can view them via iVMS-4500 Lite on iPhone. Problem: all 3 cameras were connected fine, but 1. It appears that the port forwarding does not work on this camera. Any ideas...

Help - trouble with using ivms-4500 for iPhone

The ivms-4500 is not letting me view all 4 cameras on the 4 panels in the live view. I have added 4 cameras, and at the view added them each to a corresponding channel, but the each panel shows the same camera. Any ideas why? Updated: I was able to add them using the forwarded port, but still...
