Tech guy came by today and it didn't go well. The IR ring connector was disconnected and the camera display turned black and white and was fuzzy. Replaced the camera connector and it went back to daytime mode and clear. Looked at possibly disconnecting the IR ring plug and jumping out the 3... -

Follow up question. If I were to find a pigtail to connect to my camera, would I have to download an app to make this work? Since my camera wasn't designed to be on a network, would it have firmware sophisticated enough to allow someone to make changes to the camera settings? Or to put it... -

Thanks Gimmons for the pics. Will look into it. The easiest way to disable the IR perhaps is to open the camera and disconnect the connector (if possible) to the IR ring. Is anyone familiar with doing this? -

Again the camera is not an IP camera. No antenna----just a power cable and a video cable--that's it. The connectors resemble the ones in my attached pic. Despite what you have seen on the internet (I saw it also) it uses red LEDs for its lighting. Plainly obvious if you view the camera at... -

The camera is not on an network so the default gateway address that you gave me won't work. Please correct me if I'm wrong. One site suggests that there might be a camera pigtail that can be used to change the cameras internal settings. Is anyone familiar with this? -

How do you turn off the camera IR is what I'm asking. IMO, there is plenty of ambient light for the camera to work in the daytime mode so there is no need for an IR illuminator. BTW this isn't a network camera. -

For security reasons the camera has to be positioned as it is now. The ambient light in the background cannot be changed. The camera has the typical ring of LEDs as is the norm with these cameras despite what the internet pics might suggest. I couldn't find a current pic perhaps because the... -

Hello to all board members. I live in the Philippines and have limited access to resources or expertise. My Duhua (model HFW1239TLM-LED) camera was recently moved into another housing and the focus expanded to cover more viewing area. Now the camera gets hung up in the IR mode as the sun sets...
