Cannot use SMTP on my Dahua IPC-HDBW4331R-as

Try to setup tripwires via IVS under event. I prefer IVS more then motion detect and it works great. I set a filter on my email server to filter out the start and stop event and only see the snapshot that is made. Try to play with the tripwire function. :)

Cannot use SMTP on my Dahua IPC-HDBW4331R-as

No typo's in the smtp server? are you using correct smtp server? You can try to ping the smtp server via the command prompt and see if ICMP packets are are returned. (Not all smtp serves are responding to ICMP packets) But you can try. Is your account valid? Maybe locked out. It should be...

    SMTP timezone locked at GMT+8?

You are right. Another email account doesn't fix this problem. The timestamp will not change. I have been playing around with the timezone settings on the camera and I had a correct timestamp, although the local time isn't correct anymore. :) I think the email alerts have a hardcoded timestamp...

    SMTP timezone locked at GMT+8?

Maybe a workaround is to create a dummy mail account and forward the emails from the camera to your account. I think the messages gets a new timestamp according to the correct time (zone). Have not tested this but maybe worth the try?

    SMTP timezone locked at GMT+8?

I have it on both International and Chinese camera's. The Chinese are 6 hours behind and the International only 1 hour. My 5231 turret is on last firmware. I think all camera's have this "feature".

    SMTP timezone locked at GMT+8?

There are several issues reported here with this time offset when email is sent. I have the same problem. Emails sent from the camera's are always 6 hours behind. All my camera's are NTP synced and correct time zone. When receiving the emails on my android phone they display the correct time in...

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

Got mine last week and the picture is fine. I have replaced my old (Chinese) 4421 camera. At night the 5231 doesn't need the infra red to get a good picture of the parking place so I have turned it off. I do have an external illuminator at my front door; that's why you see some shadows at night...

    7 Dahau cameras lost connectivity

When you have an ICMP echo reply to the camera try to connnect with Dahua's configtool on port 3800 and see if it stays connected. Maybe worth the try?

I will post a nightshot image when it's getting dark out here. ☺ EDIT: Posted a nightshot; one with IR on and one with IR off. I would say the one with IR off is better.

    IPC-HDBW4431R-ZS installed on a PFA137 junction box

Hi all, Last week I installed a IPC-HDBW4431R-ZS at my stepfathers house to secure the balcony. I have put a microsd card in the housing to capture the video's and snapshots. IVS - Tripwires are in use and works perfectly after some searching and asking in this forum. Any question; please ask.

IVS - Tripwire setup and save to sd card?

Still no video is recorded when an object trigger the tripwire. Am I missing something here? though a snapshot is e-mailed. Edit: After 24h I see that the tripwires have been triggered and video's are recorded as "motion" (yellow) in the videobar. Look likes it's working. :)

IVS - Tripwire setup and save to sd card?

If objects are moving around on the balcony then the green box is around them. So that should be good. :) I think you are right; I have to play with the tripwires to see it's get triggerd and max en min sizes of the target. The railing is only 10 feet above the ground. If someone managed to...

IVS - Tripwire setup and save to sd card?

Hi all, Today I have been trying to setup a tripwire on a IPC-HDBW4431R-ZS and record when it's triggered to a local sd card. I have setup the recording schedule for "alarm" because I red that tripwires will trigger alarm. It's scheduled for 24/7. So that should be good. There are no...

    Cheap front door camera

Hi all, Last friday I installed a cheap camera to secure my front door. I mounted a IPC-HDW4233C-A on a PFA136 junction box to get rid of the wire pair. The camera is powered via PoE and I used a small PVC pipe to transit the Ethernet cable. see attached pictures for the result. If any...
