    UTV

It turns out I used the wrong Gator model designations. Ours is the HPX, which they still show under “work” gators on the Deere website. The model with the independent rear suspension is the XUV, not UTV, though I guess generically, all are UTVs. Smilingreen, I think you mentioned your diesel...

    UTV

I’m pretty sure they still make the HPX. It seemed like they were going to phase out the HPX when we bought ours, because they had just introduced the UTV models like yours. Difference between the HPX and the UTV’s was, like you said, independent vs. solid rear axle. (For the benefit of those...

    UTV

Our gas engine HPX Gator. Actually, it’s my wife’s Gator, purchased back in 2009 for the hydraulic dump bed for her gardening/landscape obsession. She drives it all over our lawns, and let’s me plow snow with it in the wintertime, which I’ve done ever since we bought it.

    UTV

The Deere Gators have an open rear which is only locked when the operator chooses to.

Im lost and already spent thousands on junk

Many of us here have been through your experience. Since you’re willing to go to the effort of running cable, you’re on the right track. Favored cameras are Dahua (or Loryta brand on Amazon) 5422 series in turret or bullet formats. Then connect them to a PC running Blue Iris software or an NVR...

Cameras randomly dropping out on B.I.?

What are you using for Ip address ranges on your dual setup? It sounds like Ip address conflicts maybe. Happened to me when my son moved in and plugged his router/WiFi into my network.

How do I get the sheep off my lawn? (humor and actual question)

It sounds like you want to detect squirrels, but the AI is detecting (at least one of them) as a sheep, and it’s also detecting a rock as a sheep. I had a similar issue where I want to detect rabbits, and the AI didn’t. My tests showed it saw our rabbits in the grass as birds. So I added “bird”...

    Privacy Invasion CCTV Style...

The Nest cameras have a green led on them indicating they are connected. IIRC , it’s blue when powered but not connected, green when connected, and flashing green when being viewed. In the early days, the owner could disable it, but then they removed that option. So I removed the cameras. (Not...

Simple BI Questions. Probably obvious answer and just overthinking.

It sounds like you are intending WiFi cameras. Don’t! You want wired IP cameras. And, if you have a suitable PC, you don’t even need a Blue Iris license to try it out.

    F250 Hits my poles

Lol. Still no excuse. My Superduty predates back up cameras, but has these primitive devices called “mirrors,” that, if used, would show the imminent collision.:)

BI and UI3 Remote Access - The Video Stream Was Lost

Is your BI set to update automatically?

How to disable Motion Detect feature for a specific time span

Yes. Read the help file in BI. You would do this using profiles and schedules.

How to properly use Testing & Tuning with the Analyze with AI option

I think there is a way, but it may not be as precise as you’d like. I have a camera that I wanted to confirm on rabbits (among other animals) that didn’t “see” the rabbit in the clip and so didn’t confirm. I simply played back the sub stream clip (because I record continuously both streams)...

    Blue Iris UI3

@jaydeel- there is a ui3 parameter “timeline” which appears to be usable to open UI3 to a specific time on the timeline. I have not experimented with it though. @bp2008 - I was thinking it’d be great to have a parameter similar to ”timeline” like “relativetime” that opens Ui3 to a time relative...

    Deepstack and Codeproject AI Woes

I am successfully running BI 5.7.6.8 with CPAI (using CPU) on a Dell OptiPlex 5050 i7 6700 with no issues. I did nothing special: did a clean install of Windows 10 pro using the media creation tool, then installed blue Iris and CPAI. I then pointed BI to my BI config file from my old machine...

What display do you use ?

I don’t see a need for live, 24/7 display, but- whenever I want to see what’s going on, I have a shortcut on my iPad that takes me directly into ui3 of all cameras maximized. I think it takes about 3 seconds for that live display to come up.

    Drives Overallocated and CP.AI Slow

I can’t help but think that using StableBit DrivePool might be contributing to your overallocation problem. Is BI running on a machine that acts as a server for other systems? I’ve never had any such issues in over 2 years now, but I’m just running a simple PC with a SSD for the database and...

    Deep Stack is not helping.

@GaryK4, What does your Alerts config tab look like?
  19. Swampledge

    Deep Stack is not helping.

Also, you can read through this thread to see if it helps you any: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/deepstack-confirming-alerts-despite-zone-exclusions.65358/

    Deep Stack is not helping.

You can view DeepStack analysis details by doing a Ctrl-Double Click on the alert image. (Which you don’t have.). As wittaj suggested, we can best help if you post images of your trigger, motion detection, etc. configuration screens. Do you have any cancelled alerts?
  21. Swampledge

    Deep Stack is not helping.

Also, terminology is important. Triggers are caused by motion detection. Alerts , if DS is functioning for you, should only occur after confirmation. If you don’t have cancelled alerts, DS isn’t analyzing your motion trigger images.
  22. Swampledge

    Deep Stack is not helping.

It might help if you provide more information about what’s happening. Do you even know if images are being sent to DS?

Have you switched from DeepStack to CodeProject.AI? Poll

I just switched to CP this week. Was reluctant to make the change because of difficulties reported here by others, and because DeepStack was satisfying my needs. I was only using DS on a couple of cameras at different times, but was pleased with how it was working. But DS processing times were...

    Lightning strikes

So far, I’ve been lucky in that respect. My cameras are distributed among 4 different switches, so, hopefully, when that day comes, I’ll only lose one or two. My system went down 2 weeks ago due to lightning, but the only casualty after I reset a tripped GFI breaker was a TP Link power line...

Deepstack confirming alerts despite zone exclusions

My apologies, @doughboy. I haven’t checked in here in a couple of weeks, and just saw your post now. Here’s two things I hope will help you: To view the still that DeepStack is analyzing, do a Ctrl- double click on the alert image on the BI console. On the motion detection dialog, I have “do...

    Deep Fake

Remember how they built a White House look-alike studio for Brandon to use in his early addresses? Now we know why. Can’t have an actor laying down the base track for a deep fake address in the actual Oval Office.

    Why use deepstack?

With 8 cameras, I am using DS on only 2. One uses it only during daytime because of shadows on a reflective driveway (which is probably 70% of the field of view), and on a separate camera only at night due to that one being particularly attractive to spiders and their webs.

    Help

A router is used to connect different networks. Without internet, you don’t need a router or a modem. Just assign IP addresses manually on the cameras and the PC and you have your network.

    First Time Cam/Security Install Planning

One of the great things about Blue Iris is that you can be that “someone” or “neighbor kid.” Position a camera, then, with BI set up to record it, walk around like an intruder. You can then sit at the console and experiment with different motion detection settings on that clip. Or, if you use a...

    First Time Cam/Security Install Planning

I got started with a 2nd gen i7 and a $60 Amcrest camera. I’m now running 8 cameras on that same machine, using Deepstack on 1 during the day and 2 at night. You can only learn so much by understanding “theory.” Get a box, POE switch, and a camera and start playing around with it. The only money...
