10-4. Thanks. I don’t think the camera an be split into two channels, but if it could, I might would do that. I’m not using to identify up close on one area, I’m just trying to see the side of the house in general.
As seen below, the picture is very squatty on this camera. Is that normal for a 180 view? I just installed it this weekend and was wondering why the picture was like this.
4k-t180 for my side overview of the house. I still have two more cameras to install which are the S3. That will be for the front of the house. I need to more cameras than these but having to start off with these and then add more along the way. I’m new to all of this and pretty excited to go...
Man, I feel so stupid, it was the plug in. It works now. I’m sorry to bother y’all. This is all a new learning process for me. Now I’m going to try to do some settings with the picture and then get it on DMSS.
Ok, I might be trying to get into them the wrong way. I log into the NVR and then click the blue e in the bottom of the camera to access it. Would it be the internet or the plug in? I have 1gig fiber.
10-4. I finally got it hung up and when I go through the nvr and click the blue e to go into the camera, the picture shows up and then as you can see below it just spins. Why is that?
It has started working now. I went to the pencil and put in the password which was already in there and it started working. I have the camera inside by the nvr and now I’m going to hang it up. I did notice that when I move the camera it’s very laggy. Could that be because I’m in the cameras...
@wittaj and @bigredfish I guess I have screwed something up. It was working when I first set it up but now after trying to factory reset it multiple times I’m getting the red X status on top and red dot status on the bottom for the camera and it’s grayed out. The port on top states 3777 and I...
I know this sounds like a silly question but read something before off of here that you said you want to factory reset three times but how do you do a factory reset? I found the reset button and have held it down and unhooked it but it seems to do nothing.
@bigredfish @wittaj how is the best way to go to the cameras interface to make adjustments? Through the nvr and then hit the blue e or can you just type the ip address of the camera itself?
Thank you! Hope to try get at least one done today. I do have a couple of questions to make sure I do it the right way.
1. Can I plug up the cameras up first and let them get in setup before I take them outside ? I would put them on the same channel on the NVR that I would initially.
2. I...
I was just setting up the NVR initially offline and then I was going to start setting up the cameras. Do I need to put the NVR to the LAN before I start trying to plug up cameras? Here’s a picture of where I’m at.
@wittaj when setting up the NVR once we get to the point of adding cameras do we just close out of the NVR? Does it save everything that you have done?
Awesome! I just installed my hard drive in the NVR and hopefully this weekend I will be able to start the installation process of 1 camera at the time and setting up the NVR.
Then I still could access the cameras and get alerts through the DSS app? Also, I will just follow the setup guide video that Andy sent with his products. I’m new to all of this and before I started hooking things up, I wanted to makes sure all of my ducks are in a row on how to set things up.
I just purchased empiretechs NVR with the POE switch’s on the back and cameras. I’m wanting to setup the cameras on their own network separate from my regular network. What I have read, there are two options VLAN or dual NICs and I’m not familiar with either one of them. My current setup is...
