Mic Help for a 2132F-IS will this one work ?

That's a passive unit isn't it? Polarity probably doesn't matter. Some of the older analog phone handsets also used that kind of wire. It should work if you can build up a connectable stub.

Mic Help for a 2132F-IS will this one work ?

Use flame first, clean the residue then tin with solder. Those are some really light gauge wires. Green in most cases means earth or ground. Unsure on that one.

    Mini PTZ - Microphone

Just about any microphone will work. Un-powered or otherwise. Cut off the connector of the mic, strip a bit of plastic insulation off the ends, put the copper wires into the green connector, tighten with a screwdriver and boom--audio in. Try it with a dollar mic first. I had dozens laying...

    F1983IP V2, F1982IP V2 Firmware update?

If I understand you to say your System Firmware is currently 1.5.2.13 then you would begin upgrades with download package 2.x.2.18 This is a 2 step process that will reboot your camera after you upgrade each stage. First login as administrator to one of your cameras. Go to the "System Upgrade"...

Blue Iris Hardware Setup - Advice Please

@wcrowder: Thanks for that confirmation. I thought I had read about that here a long time ago. OP...I think you are on the right track and will have to do some trail and error testing. Put your OS on the SSD and record your data to your RAID drives. I would also try to eliminate whatever is...

Is saving a video clip on the Android BI app possible?

Ahhhhhh yes, I do see what you are saying is correct. The live recording does send the command to the server first and then video shows up on the alert list. I have just quadruple checked. I was mistaking video snippets already on my phone taken from Live View for the actual live clips. I...

Is saving a video clip on the Android BI app possible?

Good. I'm glad it's working for you. I guess we are still not on the same terminology page. Yes, when I initialize recording from Live View individual cams in the Android app it does record live video to my phone. The .mp4 files are there with the .jpg files. I can also record snippets...

Blue Iris Hardware Setup - Advice Please

Is BI multi-CPU capable? I tried searching to no avail. I assume this server is using a multi-CPU version OS? That may well be the actual load of that many good quality cameras. As fenderman indicates, that is a giant power hog with 4 processors. I do understand trying to extend the life of...

Is saving a video clip on the Android BI app possible?

Did you resolve this? I should have suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the Android app if you haven't already done that. I'm asking about this because Samsung is rolling out the latest version of Android for the S6 series of phones. I don't want to add another headache to my life if...

    Hello from RU

Give it a few hours for all the smart people to arise for the day. I'm sure someone will know where you can go from here. I have not enough experience with the hacked versions of Hikvision firmware to be useful. What version was it to begin with? Can you contact your supplier for the...

Blue Iris Hardware Setup - Advice Please

Ah...Yes, I missed that fact. I wonder if your load is being spread across all the processors somewhat evenly? That does seem like a high load with 4 processors. Have you checked each camera for the H.264 data stream and the bitrate? Reducing the bitrate to 4096 or lower can affect the CPU load.

    Hello from RU

Yes, if you can see it, then you can follow the instructions to apply the necessary firmware. I'm unfamiliar if there is a workable Russian version. Perhaps the more experienced experts will chime in briefly? It would be helpful to know what firmware version you have now and what...

Blue Iris Hardware Setup - Advice Please

Wow...17 cameras are asking a lot of that processor. Check to see if your CPU's load is all or mostly from Blue Iris first. Stop any unnecessary services. If it pegs out the CPU after a motion event, a faster HD might be of slight benefit, but I would say the problem is really not with storage.

    Hello from RU

Hi. Be sure to read the Hikvision threads about this topic. Most Chinese cameras will revert to Chinese language when you update the firmware. Can you see it in the SADP application tool?

    F1983IP V2, F1982IP V2 Firmware update?

All the firmware files on that page are compressed .zip files. You download the proper one for your application and then extract all the files onto your computer. You must log into your individual camera and you update the firmware there. Do not attempt any of this unless you are somewhat...

    Problem with new blue pc

You can also do a diagnostic on your SSD from the bios. Sounds like it did die somehow. I'm sure you've already tried swapping SATA cables and inspecting the power headers for dirt.

Hikvision Setup First Time - Need Help

Yeah it can be somewhat of a bear to get a browser and camera going the first time. It's much fun later though~!~ Windows 10 adds another layer of uncertainty also with finding Internet Explorer, allowing plug-ins, etc. As far as the Hikvision turrets, I will now use those exclusively instead...

    Power adapter for hikvison camera

I've been using these units from the bay with good success for over 8 months: $6.60 each. Search for Waterproof 12V 3A AC DC Adapter Power Supply. Not POE but certainly fits my budget. The 2A version appears to be similar and slightly cheaper.

Hikvision Setup First Time - Need Help

I'm glad to hear things are working for you now. What was the problem? You are correct. This is a very addictive area of electronics for me. I read the IP Cameras section here every day to see when the next generations of Huisun and Hikvision will be worthy of my money.

Hikvision Setup First Time - Need Help

If you're able to get as far as logging into the correct IP address of that camera, I doubt it's a network issue. Unsure of symptoms at this point. Does it keep prompting to install web components? Does your browser show the log and configuration pages or no?

    Help...

I think you will have to reset the camera to default as when it was new, then start over with configuration. I'm only a novice trouble-shooter, so waiting for more experienced advice is recommended. Does it even show up on SADP now? I don't see where to make that change with SADP even if it does.

two way audio talk back project

Yes, the proof is in the serial number. Honestly, I've been happy with the CHinese cams. But as you know, you have to be somewhat careful when applying any updates to the cameras. Also compatibility with NVRs can become an issue. Be sure to check the threads on the new 4mp cams as well as...

two way audio talk back project

Yes, I do use this setup from many cams. I have Hikvision 3mp domes like those 2 above, bullets and turrets also. BUT I have found the best quality built-in audio for door communication to be a Foscam FI9821P. The FI9831P audio is not as good for some reason. Don't flame me for not giving up...

two way audio talk back project

Those are basically the same cameras. The 2732 buys you a variable lens if you're not sure what size you need or if you plan on changing camera locations. The audio function requires you to hook up your own microphone and speaker to the green pigtail connectors. There are models with built-in...
