    Trying to reset my password

I have been sending XML files to hik vision UK and they have been Sending back XML file so I can reset my password. However, I got this email back after submitting the XML file from one of my cameras. The cameras definitely manufactured by HikVision, so I'm not sure what they are going on...

Problems live streaming bird box IP camera

I thought I may have had a 12 V power supply, but I haven't. What I was thinking about doing is just buying a long lead with a 5 mm jack plug on the end and using the same PSU that powers some of my ham radios. I can regulate the voltage to 12 V quite easily.

Problems live streaming bird box IP camera

Okay. Frustratingly I am getting a message come up when I try and go into some of the settings. My only guess is that I need to attach a power source to the camera. At the moment it's only being powered over the POE. However, there is another lead that you can plug a power source into...

Problems live streaming bird box IP camera

Okay, I've managed to get into one of the cameras now through the browser. In the end it was Net surveillance that allowed me access.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work. I've tried downloading Internet Explorer seven, but it just won't download full some reason.

Problems live streaming bird box IP camera

Sorry, yes, I did just find what you are talking about. I did see that before, but just assume they were listing what was available before, not what you could download now. I'll give it a go and see what happens.

Problems live streaming bird box IP camera

Yes, it's absolutely fantastic to watch the process of nest building, egg laying and then the rearing of the young. However, unless I can get this bloody camera to work through their live streaming service. Nobody is going to see anything again this year.

Problems live streaming bird box IP camera

Okay, I was able to bring up a login page for the camera. However, after putting in my Username & password. Nothing happened when I clicked to login. I noticed that in the tab said network surveillance. I removed network surveillance from the computer and went back and tried again. But then...

Problems live streaming bird box IP camera

I'm hoping some person with more knowledge about IP cameras can assist me. I recently purchased HD IP bird box cameras. There is a company called Camsecure who host cameras and allow live streaming to the public. They've hosted my camera for the last couple of years. However, last year my...

Cannot get IP camera to work

Blimey, they sound expensive. I really don't need something like that on my little house. I am in SADP And the dome camera is visible with a 192.168.254.x IP address. I followed your instructions and left the gateway fields empty. I am fed a pass word and made sure DHCP was checked. However...

Cannot get IP camera to work

Thinking about it logically. I don't think a PTZ camera is really what I need. I don't want to be here moving the camera around manually.

Cannot get IP camera to work

As you will know by now, I have been resetting my cameras, which has been very successful. However, I'm struggling with a couple of cameras. If you look at the attached image. You will see that I have a camera checked off already. This is a dome camera by my front door. Normally I would...

Cannot get IP camera to work

Are there any cameras that would film side to side in front and behind? I was thinking of something like a dome camera. After all this hassle. I'm seriously thinking about investing in a high end camera that will do the job properly.

Cannot get IP camera to work

I don't know is possible to move things around on the screen. To be honest I'm not really bothered. I'm just glad I got it working. After sending an XML file for one camera I received an email back with the following information. I'm not sure what's going on because the camera is hikvision...

Cannot get IP camera to work

Okay, we are finally getting there. I sat one camera back to default, plugged it back into the NVR, making sure it was on plug and play, and it is now working. So now I know it's definitely the cameras that need to be put back to default. I'm so happy :-) I came so close to chucking This lot...

Excellent!! I shall try it with one camera just to begin with. If it works, then I will attempt to do it with all of the cameras. Wish me luck :-)

Cannot get IP camera to work

I've logged into the camera through my browser and am looking in configuration > Maintenance. I'm wondering whether I should click on default, which in theory should put the camera back to its original out-of-the-box settings. I'm wondering whether, in theory, this would then allow me to plug...

Cannot get IP camera to work

I think the best thing I can do is get the box, all plugged in tomorrow and then seek advice on the settings. I can take some snaps of the screen. I hope someone will be around :-)

Cannot get IP camera to work

No. I messed things up by pressing a button in iVMS 4200. It was something to do with restore. A couple of my cameras kept going off. With hindsight it was probably just a dodgy connection on the cat cable. However, I stupidly messed around with the settings and it obviously upset the box...

Cannot get IP camera to work

I got my box back now. I haven't had a chance to plug it back in. However, I now know two of my cameras work with new passwords. Should I start from scratch and reset the box back to factory default and start over?
