Sure the specs are better but yes they are a little bigger but not as bulky as the pictures make them out to be. Look great hanging on my house. I've seen the 4mp and they very nice too. -

You connect it to nvr and you can view so nvr and camera are fine, Did you try connecting to a different port on the switch? not all ports on a switch are POE are you definitely connected to a POE port? -

Unless you are familiar with the router settings I would not mess with MHz settings. These should only be adjusted if you are broadcasting 2.4ghz and 5.0Ghz. If your not sure then don't go changing settings you know nothing about. It does increase you chance of overlapping and interference but... -

okay this is what you want. you already have router running to loft. place the nvr and switch in loft. plug router into lan of nvr. run cat6 from one of ports from nvr to a port on switch. it does not matter if the port you plug into on the switch is poe or not you are just transferring data... -

As alastairstevenson stated your image quality, fps, and bitrate are going to affect the length of recorded video. You should have no issues adjusting these to get one week of recording. I prefer the turret! i like the look bettter. just one larger IR to side of lense. domes tend to have IR bleed. I have two of the 3mp turrets and love them. the 2742 dome has a motorized lense which is nice the turret is fixed. -

NVR Not Stable
why 2 nvr's and all cameras connected to both? you are working the equipment and network way harder than needed. plus you have a 16 port switch. all you need is the switch and 1 nvr. you probably don't have the bandwith to run 2 nvr's. -

run all cameras back to poe switch. then run poe switch back to nvr and router to nvr. have poe and nvr in loft. that way if anyone breaks in the chances of them going to loft to rip out equipment is minimal. also I imagine easier to hide wire in loft. you can find virtual host on web browser... -
