    First time I turned the camera on, held the reset button for 90 seconds and it didn't work. Then I tried it again for 60 seconds and again nothing. A third try I pushed it about 2 or 3 times for just a few seconds and suddenly it worked again. Strange random behaviour, but finally it worked.

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, factory reset did the job!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also disconnected it from my POE+ switch and connected it through the powerbrick that originally came with the camera, just to be sure it didn't have a POE+ issue. It now works and i have full control over the camera...

    This seems like a different issue than what i'm experiencing. My SD59 keeps performing power-on-selftests every 2 minutes. It repeats it constantly 24x7 if connected to power.     Problem is i need to reset it during the 90 seconds immediately after it finishes the selftests and before it starts powercycling again.

    Unplugging internet didn't solve it. As soon as the SD59 gets power it starts it's selftests (Pan/Tilt) and then i can see it in the Dahua Config tool for about 60 seconds and then it disconnects again. So weird.

    Yes, i unplugged it for a few hours even. But still it keeps doing it's POS every 90 seconds. I will try a hard reset tonight. I hope it brings it back. It's quite a hassle to take down a PTZ at 9 meters high.

    I'm not sure if you can apply the Dahua SD5xxxx firmware onto your camera. I think it's model/type specific. It would be trial and error, where error would mean you bricked the camera. I'm sorry, but i don't want to be responsible for bricking your camera, mate. So I cannot be of very much help...

    Even with enough light (?) it keeps struggling with focus. Should I set it to auto focus or semi auto? Don't forget to watch it at 1080p.
