Review - Dahua Ethernet over Coax Converter/Extender LR1002-1ET/LR1002-1EC

The cheaper LR1002 requires you to use an ePoE switch and an ePoE camera, it doesn't work with regular PoE/Poe+ devices. At the end of the datasheet there's usually a diagram with the different combinations of elements you can use depending o which kind of devices you use on each end (PoE/ePoE)...

    New Hikvision DS-7608NI-K2 / P8 beeps tortured

Sounds strange, we always remove the beep on hikvision recorders if they don't have an hdd installed. The trick might be there's two exceptions where you need to remove the audible warning, both "Hdd error" and "record exception"

    New Hikvision DS-7608NI-K2 / P8 beeps tortured

Like coney27 said, with Hikvision recorders you'll always get that beep at first. You'll need to uncheck the disk error audible warning. If you have installed a hard disk, then you need to go to the recording menu and initialize the hard disk.

Black screen when connecting IP camera to XVR Dahua

The issues I've found when I run into this problem were: -The camera was using a codec not supported by the recorder, so it was needed to change it for a compatible one. -The substream was not properly configured, you can easily check that by trying both type of streams on the browser were you...

Dahua NVR4216-16P-4KS2 - no hdd alarm?

If I remember it right dahua brings the audible warning activated by default on their hcvr/xvr recorders, but not on their NVR recorders. They are changing this on some recent firmwares, but if your decice is from 2017 chances are it didn't have it preactivated.

    Dahua NVR - IVS Rules

What model is your recorder? I've made my testing on a XVR5104-4KL-X. Also make sure during your testing to add another way to check if the tripwire is being correctly triggered, for example activate the on-screen message or the buzzer.

    Dahua NVR - IVS Rules

On the IVS settings enable the TOUR option selecting the channel you want to pop-up when the tripwire is triggered. It'll get that channel as the primary on the screen for about 10 seconds and then it'll go back to the previous view

Dahuas lose custom bitrate upon reboot. Any work around?

Might not be your issue, bit I've found on certain dahua products that the website is not loading the right settings at first, and until you click the refresh button on the page (for example the encode page has a refresh button at the end of the settings list) you won't get the right settings...

    Wire trap problem

What's the model of the camera you're trying to configure? Tripwire requires a compatible camera that supports the feature. Also you won't ve able to use IVS features if the camera is working with H.265+

Tripwire only recording on one of four cameras

H.265+ is not compatible with IVS, if H.265+ is on, then trying to turn on the Smart Plan will return an error

    IPC-HFW1435S-W and dahuaddns.com

Sorry but dahua ddns is gone to never come back :( , newer cameras don't have their free ddns anymore and just the old accounts are granted the service.

    Best practise for time sync

On my Dahua devices I activate the ntp on the NVR only, then I check the sync to IPC option on the NVR (activated by default) so the own NVR will syncronize the time with the cameras each X hours. You'll still need to set the cameras on the same GMT than the NVR and activate the DST settings to...

Is there a good small camera for front and rear doors?

This one worked like a charm for my rear door

    Help about Dahua XVR5108HS-X

I've managed to reproduce your problem on an XVR and the problem in my tests was related to the SUBSTREAM being disabled. Please check if it's enabled on your recorder, and if it's enabled but you think it might've been disabled before perform a factory reset to your device.

    Help about Dahua XVR5108HS-X

Did you have the chance to connect a monitor to your XVR to check if it's showing live video directly on the monitor? If there's no live video on the monitor you can skip wasting time looking for network problems. Unfortunately if you don't have life video via HDMI/VGA you'd probably have to...

    Strange colour shift in IPC-HDW5231R-ZE

Check the white balance configuration on your camera. I don't have one with me at hand but you should have controls to correct that problem under the CAMERA--CONDITIONS menu via web, it'd be either a hue/chroma adjustment or a white balance problem.

    Multiple motion detection tiers?

If you are using a dahua recorder you have the smart search option, which will allow you to select in what area of the recordings you want to perform the motion detection search

    Review-AI NVR 4216-I

Based on my experience with the recorder you'll always need a device with FD capabilities to get the face recognition to work. In my tests I've used an NVR4208-8P-I, which shares firmware with the NVR4216-16P-I and the device worked as it should with face detecion cameras, the exact model we...

    Review-AI NVR 4216-I

I've already tested it with a XVR5104HS-4KL-X and a cheap HDCVI camera an the results were quite acceptable, face recognition was working even when the installation of the camera wasn't optimal for face detection (mounted too low on a table). You might want to give it a try to that option when...

    Review-AI NVR 4216-I

Since this NVR can perform facial recognition with cameras that have the facial detection feature you can add to the NVR channels of a XVR-X series with facial detection options activated an use your HDCVI cameras as facial recognition cameras

    IMOUH - EASYforIP BUG

Most likely your camera is now working in corridor mode which is activated when you rotate it by 90 - 270 degrees, if that's the case that's not a bug, it's how the camera is supossed to work.

    POE

Epoe ports can power up both epoe and poe regular cameras
  24. T

    POE

None of them are EPOE so you're good to go just with the nvr POE ports to power up the nine cameras
  25. T

    POE

The NVR5216-16P-4KS2E recorder has 16 POE ports, bit the first 8 are ePOE ports. Unless you're running ePOE cameras you won't have a problem.

Dahua - cam work only at mobile app

Have you tried to open the substream of your camera on SmartPss/IE browser? I'm keen to think you can access your camera via mobile app because you're accessing the extra stream but you're trying to access the main stream via IE or SmartPss. If that's the case you'll need to change the encodign...

Help Needed - Login Error on NVR W/ 5231

Hi there I'm solving this issue by upgrading the NVR firmware to the newer version which is capable to initialize and create a new password for the cameras. After upgrading the NVR and reseting it to factory defaults I never check the "Smart Add" box on the NVR activation screen (visible if...
