disabled all the cameras, cpu went to zero. i will add them back one by one now. removing them seemed pretty even, no big jumps. when i had half the cameras disabled CPU was at 50%....each camera seemed to lower it an even amount. hopefully when adding back one will standout. -

turned windows firewall off, changed the database, new and alerts back to the c drive in defualt folders BI originally set up, turned the physical firewall rules off. no change - still pegging CPU. -

that is what I was thinking too. I dont have antivirus installed on the computer running blue iris. It is behind a physical firewall on its own vlan with the cameras, that has rules set up so maybe I will look at those. But the only rule i have set up is no internet so I dont think its doing... -

so setting the pre record trigger time on and to five seconds, and setting the end trigger unless re-triggered within to 20 seconds seems to get the best results so far, but it not returning consistent results. The longest full motion track I got this morning was 40 seconds, then the camera... -

its triggering late for sure, to varying degrees. sometimes just a little late, sometimes like 5-7 seconds late. but it is finishing the track and the lengths dont seem constrained. I got 38s, 37s, 31s - so progress I would say! -

if I make the make time 9.0 seconds it goes back to only recording 10 second clips (it tracks me the whole time, just only records 10 seconds of it). turn the make time back to 2.0 it goes to recording entire track (but also all the false alarms) -

i put everything to 240 and no joy. Still ten second clips. The only thing that seems to get the clips running longer than 10 seconds is turning on the motion sensor in Blue Iris under trigger, but then I get 100s of false alarms. -

Yes, it is limiting the recording to 10 seconds. I've walked a few different paths, its tracked me for 30 seconds to a minute and each time its only a 10 second clip. The frame around the camera goes red for 10 seconds, then goes off. If subject is still in frame it will start recording... -

I was able to get internet explorer working, from one of those links posted above. And wow is it stupid how to get it to open. It didnt change anything and the tracking duration was set to 120 in IE also. But I may have spotted whats going on because in internet explorer the IVS rules show... -

nope unfortunatly when you make only one pixel in the BI motion zone box, the clips go back to stoping mid track. I must be missing something? do most people not use ptz cameras with tracking? -

so setting the MAKE time be 2 seconds in BI, and the track time in camera be 120 seconds - seems to start recording right at trigger and last until motion has stopped. Only issue now is that PTZ is recording general motion. Seems like most cars that go by are triggering record. Its not... -
