Intel NUC10 i7 is fairly solid

@MakeItRain Do you use the Live view or the Video Wall feature? The bad thing with Live view is that i have to rearrange the streams each time i open the SmartPSS, and i can't configure the vide wall at all... My idea is to have a RPISurv like monitoring system, but with 20 cams (in a 4 x 5...

    Video encoder

I guess this is the post i was looking for - Dahu Wiki - it states that it's possible to add an RTSP stream to be recorded on a NVR.

    Video encoder

My current DVR does provide RTSP streams, i am sure that BI can pull in the streams (will test that), however i'm not sure that a Dahua NVR can do that, i'll contact them and see what they say if no one here can say with certainty. The hybrid all-in-one XVR units don't have enought processing...

    Video encoder

I currently have a Dahua DVR with analog cams and ip cams. I will need to increase the number of ip cams and hdd's (while keeping the analog cams), so these are my options: 1. Dahua XVR7416L-4K-I2 - Cons: records 4K 1-15fps, max 16 ip cams and 128Mbps incoming bandwith 2. Dahua XVR7816S-4K-I2...

View Dahua camera's rtsp stream with Raspberry Pi omxplayer

It's best to add a restart cron job if the Rpisurv is used 24/7.

    Multiple Cameras on Multiple Monitors

For separate monitor stations you can use Raspberry Pi's with rpisurv on them (1 Pi per monitor). The Pi's can be fed streams from a DVR (analog cams) or from an NVR/Blueiris pc (IP cams).

UPS needed: with a Phone App or Web portal via WiFi or Ethernet

UPSes with ethernet are expensive. Another option is to use 1 Raspberry Pi per ups and make the ups network connectable by installing Network UPS Tools (NUT) on the raspberry (google it). Go with either APC or Eaton.

Intel NUC10 i7 is fairly solid

What program are you using to view the streams? I'm using a RPI3 with rpisurv because when it boots it shows the streams immediately without any user input.

    POE tester

Has anyone used this POE tester: PoE Tester Gen 2 If connected between a PSE (a POE switch) and a PD (an IP cam) it shows the Amps, Watts and Volts that the PD draws. I am eyeing it since i've been in a situation where the PSU for the switch had enough Volts but not enough Amps for a (PTZ)...

    Dahua PTZ with POE+ extender

Hi, what did you end up with? I plan on using a second 59225 with a Mikrotik CRS112-8p-4s-in for a distance of 130m (427ft). I am looking at the Dahua pft1300 midspan POE extender. I already have one 59225 but it's a shorter distance - 50m (165ft), paired with a Cat6 Nexans cable and it's been...

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

I'm using a raspberry Pi 3 B with rpisurv to view 4 RTSP streams over Lan and Wan ( i have a few RPI's). A little effort is needed to set it up (detailed guides are all over the internet), but once it's set up it's rock solid, and in my opinion a lot cheaper than any network decoder. Does a...

Dahua SD59225U-HNI.... HP pro curve Poe+ Connection

SD59225 is 802.3at so it needs 42.5V-57V. It's best that you get a more powerful powerbrick with more V and A (within the range of the switch). I had the same problem with the same camera but a different switch.
