I believe the Hik-Connect app will attempt to connect your doorbell to whatever Wi-Fi network you had set to automatically connect your phone to. In my case, my phone would join my 5GHz network automatically when I toggle on Wi-Fi which caused the doorbell to try to connect to 5GHz but wouldn't...
First time around was 5secs but I inadvertently connected my iPhone to my 5GHz SSID since it was my default connection instead of 2.4GHz SSID. I then reset and connected to my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and it accepted the QR code and registered with the backend Hikvision servers.
I had to do a manual reset(hold left button 15secs) on my RCA Hikvision rebrand of this wifi doorbell to get Hik-Connect to configure wifi via QR code. Maybe worth trying as mine would not connect and register with the server until I resorted to reset procedure. I connected mine without WPS...
Sorry, I don't have a Linksys router to check with but it should be in the VPN advance settings if you have that option in your Linksys firmware. Else, you could flash to other firmware like dd-wrt.
I'm interested in hearing about the availability and change log of the logo'd DH-5XXX-4KS2 version of this latest firmware as well. Maybe we'll see reviews from more folks on the non-logo version by then to see if any gotchas arise from their testing.
Thanks, I downloaded a copy in case I need to rollback to 171205. At this time, I'll continue to bake in at the 219 build since it's been fairly solid since this afternoon. Beyond that first network disconnect post 219 upgrade, there has been no further abnormal shutdown so far this evening...
After trying a few, I opted to jump to latest available 171219 to minimize effort since there was only one drawback of the 12fps. Also, I don't have a copy of the 171205.
I just upgraded my doorbell's firmware to LTK6128W-WIFI_V1.4.62_171219 and it is behaving a lot better now. It has only rebooted once in my recent tests from my easily repro'd network disconnect/abnormal shutdown issue when accepting call from video doorbell that occurred in build 171114 &...
Nice find. It does seem to be a physical optional product. The pdf shows that the power booster is optional equipment to attach to the option doorbell chime. Maybe that power booster can allow for higher than the locked down 12 fps in latest firmware.
I thought that at first which was why I checked voltage with voltmeter but seeing 19V told me it's other factor(s). If I don't accept the video doorbell call on my phone, it continues to stay network connected and I can continue to press the doorbell as many times in a row as I'd like as long as...
I might try but it's not that it is having an issue connecting as it works fine until I have someone ring the doorbell and I accept the call to make 2way communication. If I don't pick up that video doorbell call, it doesn't have the abnormal shutdown/network disconnect problem and continues...
I'm trying to rule out if my unit might bad. I'm getting the 'Network disconnected' and 'Abnormal shutdown' in the log sometimes when doorbell is pressed and start 2-way voice communication with doorbell and get the red ring before rebooting, connecting back to Wi-Fi and registering with...
Yeah, I noticed the same thing in my limited testing. I was trying to figure out that out as well because I couldn't connect to my motion alerted recordings when I didn't have internet access.

Yep, your Hikvision doorbell is at same firmware as what was posted in the other LTS doorbell thread which is V1.4.62 build 171218. Should be about time for another FW update to v2.x from Hikvision to allow users to disable IR.:)
Nice, finally see a Hikvision unit installed by forum member as it's been mostly rebrands(LTS, Clare, Laview, RCA, Nelly). I assume it has the same firmware version like latest version mentinoed in this thread.
Thanks for the info on the wedge. No wonder I couldn't locate it earlier as it's only bundled in that plus kit. Wonder if it is multiple piece kit like the Ring Pro(15deg, 30deg and 45deg kit for $12 shipped from ebay).
I'm planning to get a Fire HD 10 or generic android 10" to mount in kitchen for WAF(wife acceptance factor). The current 8" tablets are fine as you can select any of the cameras to zoom full screen if needed.
Right now I have two tablets with tinycampro that allows for viewing where I don't have SmartTV or PC in that room and they've worked fairly well and mobile. They also multipurpose for my smart home automation as well. I'll mount one more tablet to wall in kitchen for WAF.
I have some of those wooden shims and the plastic ones which I think might last longer outside with coat of spray paint to match face cover I choose. It's almost end of January but I still don't see the shims anywhere on the Clare site.
I've been looking at the Ring Pro wedge kits on ebay and...
I'm going to have to move mine a little bit away from inside corner anyway due to all the IR reflection issue photos I've seen posted by others here. It's about 40" high right now and will try 48" in new spot that will hopefully minimize IR issue since the firmware still doesn't allow us to...
I'm supposed to receive my video doorbell by Monday. What's the recommended height for installation as I noticed our current doorbell is about door knob height? Thinking about Moving it up 1-2ft to get facial ID.
Edit: I see ring recommends 48" so will raise it to that height unless others...
If no RTSP streaming, then that is a major drawback for price of unit. Even the cloud based ezviz wifi hikvision ip camera allows me to record via NVR. Hopefully there will be some user reviews soon.
Maybe someone who orders a unit can somehow rig up a hardwire mod to the microusb charging port in the back of this doorbell to allow for use with NVR:)
What is the correct method to backup the original firmware on any of these Hikvision video doorbell variants in case one might need to restore back for whatever reason? I've searched and found thread which looks to be applicable but not sure on steps to actually get into these units to backup...
Did you install the latest firmware seen floating around here and did the RCA unit accept the Hikvision FW okay like the LTS/Clare/Laview/Nelly variants?
