Thanks a lot for your Update V0.89 (pls. change the version info from "v0.873 (October 30, 2018)" to the actual "V0.89 .....") In the version before (V0.8731), I had 15 presets buttons, now "just" 10. Could you please go back to 15, or tell me, how I can change it. -

Yes, you can... setup up TCP/IP V4 as in the picture. Direct connect the Dahua to your PC. Reboot. Then in any browser type 192.168.1.108. Set PW and after change IP to your network. -

What I found, is the export function within the Smart Player. At least, it gives me a start/end cutting option, while the video quality is untouched very good. -

I have several PTZ but will end in 5x DS59430U-HNI (4MP) around my house. Picture quality at daytime is perfect, at nighttime weaker than the 2MP starlight Dahua's (but I knew that). You can also play the .dav videos with VLC (with a change in the VLC Config): Go to Tools -> Settings -> show... -

I can... I have the same "problem" with mine Dahua also. The "problem" is the shutter speed in the "Auto" modus (SmartPSS -> camera -> properties -> exposure -> mode). From what I saw till today, Dahua uses in the Auto modus a slow shutter speed, to bring in more light/details to the picture... -
Painting Dahua 5231R
I painted some years ago a "industrial gray" PTZ Dome camera to "white" color. You have to sand with a 200 to 300 sandpaper, to roughen the surface of the old color (be sure to cover before painting all optics and electric parts) and paint it with a spray can black. As always: more thin layers... -
