BlueIris not playing with Dahua camera all of a sudden.

Dude. I changed to another POE switch, same model, the same power supply plugged to the wall. Issue went away. Holyshit. I used grease on the camera side as it's outdoors. But should I be using grease on the switch itself aswell?? Going to clean it out tomorrow with a cleaner safe for electronics

BlueIris not playing with Dahua camera all of a sudden.

Definitely gonna try that. I'll check the POE switch too. but im not sure how yet. Btw, do these things IP camears have an expected end of life? I'd say this camera is maybe almost 7 years old now.

BlueIris not playing with Dahua camera all of a sudden.

Thanks for informing me SOP for Dahua/Empiretech. I used to use that find/inspect, but it had an issue so I used the Dahua/*RTSP setup, then now that also has an issue. I've reverted it back now for troubleshooting. Still same stuff below. Also, did you use dielectric grease on the ethernet...

BlueIris not playing with Dahua camera all of a sudden.

Blueiris 5.9.9.38 x64 Note: I have reached out to support and had this fixed 2 weeks ago. It came back by itself. No changes on my end, nothing. Relief Sought: I'm trying to narrow it down if it's the camera giving up. Need to know if their integrity is in question as I'm in the market for 6-7...

Thoughts. Is this enough or will I need another center cam for an overview of things

These are a couple of 2MP cameras which cannot record 24/7. I'm planning on getting another top view overview kind of cam to trigger specific cameras to record based on "zones". basically capture what everyone is doing then trigger when people are passing the identity zone

What is the most secure way to mount to a concrete wall?

I have one of those. But the mount itself has 6 points of holes I can use. But what to use to screw that mount to the wall becomes my next problem

What is the most secure way to mount to a concrete wall?

I used tox and the provided screws. No fasteners. It was a Dahua bullet camera. So I had 3 screws to place. Will probably place it higher. Not sure where to get anchors though, the holes on the camera base in itself is small

What is the most secure way to mount to a concrete wall?

one of my cameras was stolen last week. It was basically just "grabbed" without effort even. Wondering if we have an "industrial" way of mounting it to a wall. I'm talking about like it can sustain 300KGs of pull force before giving up. Aslong as a human can't grab it off the concrete wall we're...

Help recommending some cctv cameras please. Use case in the body

Indoors. Need to observe the house and figure out why things are moving when I am alone? 1. Dumbed down CCTV camera. I don't need their bells and whistles, as long as it is IP and BlueIris can interface to it 2. With audio 3. Capable of both wifi and POE. Reason is this is not my house, I can...

BI5, how to make remote view "seamless" to the average "joe"?

I know this is already asked a ton. But how do we make this happen? my current set up of having a ddns+airvpn+accessing it remotly is so janky is works 10% of the time due to jankiness of openvpn + vpn config files among other things. How do we make this process seamless? I don't care if it's a...

pin-hole camera to video who is installing a jumper in my electric box

Sorry late reply. There IS a lock. But the fuse box's cover is GONE. Since the cage it's in has gaps that can fit an adult's arms.

So there's a setting in blue iris to show you where it "detects" movement on the feed and shows a rectangle. But I can't see this on the recording, it shows on live but when playing an alarm, it's not there. How can I add it there?

Are DVR + Analog cam setup still worth it? Planning to add more cams but Starlight cams still expensive

My concern is if I'm shutting out these IP cameras for security reasons and all. And also using BlueIris to process motion detection and etc. Why go IP camera and pay for all the smart and extra features when I remove almost all of them and leave out only what I really need on an IP camera.
