    Foscam FI9900P sound issues.

Just tried a Ground Loop Noise Isolator and it made no difference on either Foscam, in fact the sound did not work at all. It could have been defective but was new. At this point I give up and for anyone with sound problems on Foscam I can only say try lots of different microphones til you find...

    Blue Iris Emergency

You need to make sure nothing else is writing to the discs where you saved the material ( I think you have done this) and then attempt data recovery. If you were recording to a disc that was full, chances of data recovery are not good but if the video is very important it is perhaps worth a try...

I use Blue Iris on a windows PC and so have no knowledge of using NVRs.

    Foscam FI9900P - Motion Detection

Foscam software is terrible, you are better off using a third party package such as Blue Iris which is the one I use. The camera just streams video to Blue Iris and Blue Iris takes care of all the recording and motion detection. You can set all sorts of parameters so you have complete control...

    Bricked FI9900P. Recoverable?

Well after writing the above, my 9900 has sprung back into life. I have no idea why as the diagnosis was very clear. The only thing that changes was I fitted a new router and then suddenly I noticed a familiar attached device. Quick reconfiguration of Blue Iris to new IP address and its working...

    Foscam FI9900P sound issues.

I have several foscams including two f19900s. Some of the cameras do what they are supposed to but I have one in particular which is a pain. With most microphones it gives a very loud hum or buzzing sound. I tried powered mics and various cheap mics and eventually I found one that was...

    Bricked FI9900P. Recoverable?

I was going to write a separate post but my problem is exactly the same as above. My first F19900 has worked perfectly, very nice picture and no hassle at all. I then bought another one and it was a pig to set up. I eventually got it set up wired directly to the router, set a static IP and then...

Cant get to the web server on Fi9803P, problem with plug-in

Main problem is now solved and I have the Foscam program running with access to the camera. For the benefit of those following me with the same probem here is what I did: I googled NPAPI which is some sort of plug in support . Unfortunately few browsers now support it but wiki gives a list...

Cant get to the web server on Fi9803P, problem with plug-in

Just tried Opera browser and thats not made any difference either. Oh and another annoying thing the Foscam IP Camera client thing disappears when I minimise it so I have to go into menus and restart it each time... not that ist helping because it still wont allow me to log into the cameras.

Cant get to the web server on Fi9803P, problem with plug-in

I have the same problem but do not have access to an old computer. I cannot login to either of my Foscam f19900P s . They just keep asking for passwords and asking to install software. I keep going round and round in circles. I have tried Chrome, edge, firefox and IE with no joy I searched...

    Spider Webs

Ahh yes Spiders, they are a problem I have been battling with. They are attracted to the ir lights ... well not so much the spiders as their lunch are attracted to the lights. A quick fix is clean the web off and spray with wd 40 but they will come back after a day or two. Only real solution is...

Power out - lost all cameras

Fixed it ! I logged into my router admin which listed all the devices connected. For some reason the previously set static IP addresses had change themselves into dynamic ones. I simply changed the IP of each device to the one shown in Blue Iris and ticked static. Restart camera and then Blue...

Power out - lost all cameras

I've been having work done on the house electrics and now the power is back on Blue Iris has lost all my IP cameras. Accessing my BT hub 5 suggests all the cameras have been given new IP addresses which explains why noting is in Blue Iris. Unfortunately I seem unable to log in or do anything...
