Looks like using GMAIL to send alert images may stop working on 30-May-2022....

Do you use this? If so I'm interested what you think of it. I would really like to cut the Gmail cord

Looks like using GMAIL to send alert images may stop working on 30-May-2022....

Yes, I was using Gmail to send emails to Pushover, but once I got the api method working, it seems to be a tiny bit faster, plus you cut out one more middleman (email). Also nice to be able to assign certain notification sounds to certain cameras, which I couldn't do before. If Gmail is...

Ditch the email messaging. Push your notifications. You'll be much happier. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/send-pushover-notifications-with-pictures-and-hyperlinks.58819/

    Gas prices

It's the foundation of fascism. They are guilty of it every day. They had the gall to accuse Trump of it. Show me one (proven) example of where he tried to silence his opposition.

    Gas prices

This used to be us, before that skeleton with the doll hair sewn to his head was put in charge. Turn the tap back on and this all goes away. We could even supply Europe and Ukraine. That will really put the squeeze on Putin. But he can't. The eco nazis have their control over him. What's sad...

Blue Iris - Email Video Clip Attachment Issue

If you are open to using pushover, check out what @jaydeel has done in this thread: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/send-pushover-notifications-with-pictures-and-hyperlinks.58819/ His curl command will put a link to the motion clip in ui3 right below the alert jpg on your device. It's awesome...

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

I'm glad you did join in on this thread. Your discovery of the space in Blue Iris was the reason my setup was not working. As @wittaj alludes to, in a thread like this, it's important to have as many people as possible asking questions and discussing why certain little details do what they do...

BI5 alerts to phone by txt delayed?

All good info given here. I tried all of these tips and got my false alerts down to nearly zero, but damn Verizon still sent that 2am stray cat alert on my porch at 1 pm the next day. Even with a low volume of alerts. Like @wittaj and @TonyR says, you are best pushing your alerts versus texting...

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

I'm following this, too. I've been using the generic Pushover email address to send my alerts to, but I'm really interested to get your curl method working so I can have different alert sounds for different cameras. I haven't had time to try your troubleshooting methods, but they look promising.

Zero Tier remote access to Blue Iris

Not a network guru, but I've been using ZT for about a year with Blue Iris. I used one of the YouTube tutorials to set it up. It works great if you have a cgnat/no personal ip address. I can't think of a single time it has been down since I set it up.

Having trouble with getting a jpg posted to a file

As a side note, I found that the macros for the time end up saving in a weird, bit type way. For example, if the time is 7:30:01pm, using the %H%M%S macro ends up saving the file as 193001. Since I scheduled all my snapshots on the hour, I just left the %H macro in, so I will be getting file...

Having trouble with getting a jpg posted to a file

Yep, those are pretty much the same settings I have, except I am saving to a folder outside of Blue Iris. Well, after messing around with it a bunch, I restarted the computer (and in turn the Blue Iris service), and it started working. I set the schedule for a minute in advance of current time...

Having trouble with getting a jpg posted to a file

After seeing this thread Scheduled snapshots no longer working I decided to set up a schedule as @TonyR suggested in the thread to make a yearly time lapse of my exterior cameras. I think I have it set up correctly, but when I went back to my folder that the first jpg was supposed to be saved in...

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

I'm trying to set this up, but am having some issues getting it running. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. In your Configure Run Action Tab, for file, it simply says Curl. On my system, I downloaded the CURL program and copied the files to the Blue Iris folder on my C: drive...

Adding a Second HDD to Optiplex 7040 MT

I have this tower. A little double sided tape and zip ties as @looney2ns said. I'm going on a year without issues in mine. I never used the optical drive anyway.

Colt Competition. Very reliable. Adjustable sights. Shoots better than most people. Under $1000 if you find a deal. Not as sexy as a Brown or Baer, but I'd rather have more guns.

I've only been with them for about a year now. Haven't seen any glitches like that with the newest c7 hub. Seems like they probably have all the issues ironed out by the time I bought one. I really like how the developers come out with updates all the time as new device drivers or community...

    Another addiction

Another vote for Hubitat here. Very open sourced, very security minded with its local operation versus cloud reliability, and VERY powerful with the rules that can be implemented. Also, pretty much anything that is zwave or zigbee can be used, which opens up the door for low cost sensors and...

Looking for a way to pull a data value from json to overlay on camera feed

This has been working great. I noticed my data parameters move to different locations in the json array every few days, which displayed wrong data value overlays on the camera. I followed the syntax guide attached within the program and was able to have the app select the "temperature" value...

    Progressive Liberal Hypocrisy
