Required poe or power supply specs

If you think you may ever be adding more cameras, you also might want to think about getting a poe switch instead. For maybe double the price of a single injector, you can get a 4 or 6 port poe switch. Just a thought. Cameras are addicting.

Review- New Design Tendelux 10 Watt IR illuminator.

Here's a quick clip I just grabbed from the Blue Iris app. It's a bit clearer on Blue Iris itself. You can see the ir does not look blown out in the center and no blur in slow motion. The varifocal is zoomed all the way out so dori is not the best. I use this camera as an overview camera.

It's also getting a little ir hitting off the ceiling like yours. Mine is aimed parallel to the ground.

It's about 8 feet high, hanging under the corner of my porch awning.

Review- New Design Tendelux 10 Watt IR illuminator.

My 10 watt illuminator arrived today. I ordered it based on this thread. I must say it is pretty impressive for it's size. I have it installed below a varifocal 5442, and have found the picture to be better with the camera ir turned off. I have only started playing with settings, but it is a big...

UFOs, Extraterrestrials, Advanced Technology and Other Associated Weirdness

We would have figured it out eventually, but maybe it gave us a kick in the ass on the material composition and how to put together. There was an absolute explosion of technological advancement around this time. 50 years prior we were being pulled around by animals for transportation. What if...

UFOs, Extraterrestrials, Advanced Technology and Other Associated Weirdness

Having and idea for something and having the technology available to implement it are two totally different things. Humans are smart. DaVinci made drawings of helicopter concepts, but the technology was not there at the time. I also find the akashic records theory very interesting, too...

I'm Catholic as well, so I totally get where you are coming from. I'm not posting here to change any opinions or beliefs, just saying what I personally believe. I get my fair share of weird looks from family and friends when I talk about this stuff, so I'm certain I'm in the minority. As far as...

UFOs, Extraterrestrials, Advanced Technology and Other Associated Weirdness

Modern scientific studies show that DNA doubles in complexity something like every 350 million years. They used this calculation to determine human DNA is 10 billion years old. Earth is 4.5 billion years.

UFOs, Extraterrestrials, Advanced Technology and Other Associated Weirdness

Crazy how all of these ancient stories are all very similar, even though the civilizations had no contact with each other. Sightings of metal "birds" shooting sparks out of their mouths? Cave drawings of creatures with outfits that look like current space suits. Maybe their understanding of...

UFOs, Extraterrestrials, Advanced Technology and Other Associated Weirdness

I'm a believer. Way too much evidence in plain sight to not be. How did people lift multi ton blocks so high 4000 years ago to make pyramids? How did multi ton blocks get carved and placed on Easter Island in the middle of the ocean thousands of years ago? It's a little strange that our...

    Starlink satellite internet

My speed has decreased over the past year, likely due to additional users being added. Still no reliable IPV6, still some dropouts. I am getting a little better speeds than you @ ~ 40 to 50Mbps down and 10 up, so it is still a big improvement over my old dsl. Still worth it for me, for now. If...

    Starlink satellite internet

I'm guessing the capacity is based on ground stations, as I can't imagine there are enough starlink dishes in my rural area to bring capacity to a limited status.

Google TV (Android TV) app for viewing RTSP streams

Well this sounds promising. It looks like android tv and tinycam pro is the best option.

Google TV (Android TV) app for viewing RTSP streams

I was thinking of loading tasker directly on the TV and have it auto switch to the tinycam app when BI sees motion, then switch back to the TV input I was watching after around 15 seconds. I have seen people successfully load tasker on android tvs, but have not seen an example where they have...

Google TV (Android TV) app for viewing RTSP streams

Have you ever tried to automate it? It would be great if I could get Blue Iris motion alert to send an http request to my home automation, which would then send a request to the android tv to open the app and go to a specific camera view. If it's not possible with android tv, maybe if the Tasker...

Google TV (Android TV) app for viewing RTSP streams

Interesting. Do you leave the stream running on the app 24/7 or do you have to open the app and go to the stream url every time you want to view it.

When are you ordering your EV?

Yes natural gas would be a great primary fuel source long term since it's so abundant. Let's hope the bureaucrats realize this and stop trying to kill fossil fuels and fracking. Renewables will never take the lead in our lifetime.

When are you ordering your EV?

Fossil fuels still power a vast majority of these EVs. Rather than using low polluting gasoline or clean propane/natural gas directly in cars, coal or natural gas is inefficiently burned in order to heat water and spin turbines, creating the electricity for the magic holes in the wall charging...

    Camera in Crawspace

I used a IP2M-843EB that I got for really cheap a few years ago in my crawlspace pointed at my sump pump pit. It's still going strong, and no spider web buildup around the ring of IR leds like I was expecting. Go with something cheap if it's for crawlspace use. You don't have to worry about...

Still worth it in my opinion. I just think it is a bit weird to start raising prices in the double digit percentages before its even out of beta. Many of us have no choice either way.

    Starlink satellite internet

Due to excessive levels of inflation, the price of the Starlink kit is increasing from $499 to $549 for deposit holders, and $599 for all new orders, effective today. In addition, the Starlink monthly service price will increase from $99 to $110. The new price will apply to your subscription on...

Jussie Smollett case finally in court

Exactly. Look at the hate crime that just occurred in FL. Some black kids beat up some white kids because they were white, saying it was revenge for slavery during the beating. I doubt this news story will actually get serious airtime on the national news. They fail to mention race of the...

    Gas prices

I'm jealous of those of you who have access to non ethanol fuel. Here in the midwest, we are forced to pay extra for a substance that lowers our fuel economy while slowly corroding our fuel systems and engines, just so bureaucrats can pretend to wage war on a non existent human created climate...

Looks like using GMAIL to send alert images may stop working on 30-May-2022....

Oops, I think I misread your post. If you are referring to the blue iris app push, then I cannot comment, as I don't use the app for push. I thought you were referring to Pushover, which has the ability to display all past alerts and pictures.

Looks like using GMAIL to send alert images may stop working on 30-May-2022....

In the Pushover app, you can scroll back though all alerts/pictures. There is even a drop down menu so you can only display alerts from a certain app, or have them all display together in time order.
