Need help with DDNS - Router - Cam setup
Know this isn't secure at all but wanting to make it work..Tried to get remote access to my Dahua 5216 16 POE NVR..couldn't get it to work. Thought I would eliminate any NVR setup issues, so I hooked my 4431 camera directly to my router, reset the IP address from the 10.1.1 IP, got a video...- Bryan

Dahua NVR 5216-16P-4KS2
Mine's worked great so far..only minor issue was the mouse started double clicking after 2 months, which was the devil with passwords, replaced it and works fine since then. -

Here's the daytime pics.. white marker at 25 ft red at 50 ft. Pic 73806 is at 70ft. For anybody I know I could tell which person it is.. My reason for the advice was he initially stated he just wanted to tell what was out there..person or dog. If he wanted a legal face ID I wouldn't have... -

Different people here have different circumstances..some in the city with a small yard where they can afford 3 expensive cameras to cover everything..some like me in the woods with a large yard and out-buildings where you might need a lot more cameras. Unlimited budget or retirees on a small... -

I have 3.6 mm and can identify known people at 50-70 ft. Unknown people would be at < 50 ft. I would think about your individual circumstance..is there anything to steal at distances > 50 ft? If not you can tell whether it's a dog or person. As I told my wife...they can't break into to the... -

Is there a camera 7 near # 4 at the end of the 22ft line? Finding that IR attracts bugs, which might set off some IVS. Might want to consider IR illuminators at different locations. The distances are not that far..so good. 2 MP starlight cams are better at night. Look under posts by me... -

I posted before you sent response... I tried that Domitxx program on the laptop. Had it setup but couldn't get the URL for the picture, therefore it wouldn't connect. My nerves are shot for today...been doing this almost straight the whole day...- Bryan

Not impressed with Dahua NVR software
The problem being is I had just the cameras with a check mark, not anything else...and it reset the NVR, storage, everything else..somewhat misleading. Instead of us harping on that, any advice on how to get the alarm message with the snapshot instead of just the start and clear alarms?- Bryan
