    Powerline adapters work great however in this application I doubt both buildings are on the same electrical wiring. I have used Ubiquiti NSM2 with great success for multiple applications exactly like this. You shouldn't experience any issues with only 4 cameras on the detached building.

    I've never seen that issue with a Hik camera but have seen it many times with Digital Watchdog cameras. Fenderman is right, IR cut filter and his recommendations are what we usually do to correct the issue.

    I know of a device that is currently being manufactured that does what you are looking for. You can arm/disarm through the app, receive text notifications on alarm. The caveat is that it has two alarm inputs and two outputs.
