    LPR motion settings

The bitrates in the cameras are / were set to like max or almost max. Like 10mbps or 8 mbps. I have 3 LPRs. 2 of them at one site 1 at another. All 3 same model cam. All 3 exibit the same signal restored symptom and they are the only cams that do. All cable runs pass a continuity check...

    LPR motion settings

Can anybody share their LPR motion settings? I have absolutley had it and threw my hands up and set one of my LPRs to continous recording and will probably do the same for the other 3. I have it as sensitive as possible and still miss events. First, I assume constant "signal restored" messages...

IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 test LPR video / critique please

Would the off angle IR help with the plates that are dusty and are overexposed? I get a few plates that when dirty just come out white. Wipe off the plate and you can read it at night just fine. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk

IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 test LPR video / critique please

Daytime is childsplay compared to night lol. I read about your focus shift issue and I observed the same thing. Since I am using Blue Iris I just have the Dahua script running on the Blue Iris server so that fixed the issue for me. Here are some samples mostly from today as well as the...

    IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 LPR from 137 feet

Well 2 way streets are 99.9% of the roads around me so I guess yea....i assumed that.... I do look at a single vehicle at a time or at least a 2 lane width Field of View I should say. I also am guilty of "every plate I can get" mentality. Why wouldnt I want every plate that comes and goes on...

    IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 LPR from 137 feet

Man I dont know what to say. You do realize that the plates on dual plate states are the same right? Yes the car has 2 but you only need to read 1. What do you mean I didn't explain why you need 2 cameras if you only have rear plates. I did. I used the "standing on the side of the road...

    IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 LPR from 137 feet

Post # 52 you questioned the statement that a state that only has plates on the rear of the car requires 2 cameras. You asked "what am I missing". I explained why a state that only has plates in the rear of the car (like my state) requires 2 cameras. Maybe you already understood, but your...

    IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 LPR from 137 feet

That is correct. I'm not sure what is so confusing. If your on the side of the road looking to the right and a car comes towards you and passes and you never move your head how are you going to see the plate on the rear of the car? You need 2 cameras. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk

    IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 LPR from 137 feet

Because if the car comes towards the camera you will never see the rear plate. So you have to have a 2nd camera pointing the other way so that as the car goes AWAY from the camera you catch the plate Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk

Recording stops while there is still motion in view

Wow great videos. I just completely re-did the zones and crossings with the server I can remote into (the other is on a network with no internet). I left gaps between zones, but created a full frame "G" zone like in the video. I also did as you stated changed to simple algorithm and unchecked...

Recording stops while there is still motion in view

Ok @fenderman if this is bad form delete my post and I will create a new thread. I figured this was relevant to the OP so perhaps it's ok. I am posting a link to a Google Drive shared folder containing folders of each camera with example videos and pictures of settings. Bandwidth Warning...

Recording stops while there is still motion in view

Nope. And this happens to me a LOT with 2 seperate installations. So its obviously something I'm doing wrong. How can I upload video so that you can see the motion detection boxes? Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk

Recording stops while there is still motion in view

Just to clarify, if a box never turns red, the camera shouldnt trigger right? I get all kinds of videos where video was triggered but the motion detection test run never shows any red box. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk

Recording stops while there is still motion in view

Ive had this too and my settings are waaay more sensitive. When testing motion is it green box, or red box that triggers the recording to start? I assumed red was the trigger. What does green mean? I actually was reviewing a video through the motion detector and had the recording stop with a...

Possible Plate? Anyone good enough to "enhance"

Since this thread was resurected I'll post that I now have a plate cam up at this location and 2 at my dads shop. Still tweaking. Delaware plates are a real bitch to capture. They are flat (not textured) and blue and gold (low contrast) and only on the rear of vehicles. With some dusty...

I think I got it figured out / fixed. I would prefer it be on the same subnet but I think this is working....I added a static route in the R8000 router. Seems to be working for now. Destination IP: 192.168.254.0 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway IP: 192.168.1.1 Metric: 2

    VPN Primer for Noobs

Is anybody experiencing an issue where OpenVPN / Netgear is issuing a 192.168.254.x IP address to Android Clients even though the LAN is 192.168.1.x? This makes VPN pointless for me. Any idea how I can fix this? Quick googlefu seems as though its got to do with Android / TUN and idk how to fix...
